For the most part, I would say that it has been a good season for Connecticut. They may not be one of the better teams in the land, but they are certainly no easy out for anyone out there.
The Huskies defeated the Georgetown Hoyas on Sunday by a score of 86-77. They did just what they needed to do against a team that has been terrible in the 2021-2022 season.
They had a much larger lead on Sunday, but they did allow the Hoyas to have a very strong second half, which is why the final score was a single digit deficit. Even in victory, those sorts of things cannot make Dan Hurley happy at all.
Despite Adama Sanogo getting himself into foul trouble very early on and essentially being a non-factor, the offense still looked smooth and efficient in the win over Georgetown. RJ Cole was the leading scorer for them with 18 points, while Isaiah Whaley chipped in 14 points and 4 rebounds.
Creighton Bluejays
A lot of other teams in their conference and in the nation may be getting more attention than them, but that does not mean that Creighton has not played well so far this season. They have been a solid team and it just seems like they have gotten better as the year has gone on, which is a good sign for them heading into March.
The Bluejays currently have a 19-9 record overall and an 11-6 record in conference play. Getting win number 20 on Wednesday will certainly be no easy task when they face off with one of the better clubs in the Big East.
This squad lost to the Providence Friars on Saturday by a score of 72-51. From fairly early on, you could tell that they did not have too many answers for their opponent and that it was going to be a long night for them.
I get that they were short-handed in their last outing, but you cannot score just over 50 points and expect to win games in college basketball. It is almost impossible to do so, especially when you are going against a very talented team.

I do not feel this moment will be too big for the Bluejays and I can see them being competitive in this ball game. It would not shock me if they came out sharper in this one after they looked totally flat against the Friars.
I like the Huskies to get the win, but I feel Creighton can cover as the dog at home.
