Cinci is favored to win by eight on the road here.
Cincinnati Bearcats
Cincinnati was solid during non-conference play, picking up victories over Illinois and Georgia, and they enter this one on the heels of a rough home loss to Houston, 80-58.
David DeJulius enters this road bout on the heels of his game of the season. The senior guard scored a season-high 25 points against Houston despite the final result. DeJulius is the heart and soul of this team, and he leads them with 12.8 ppg.
Jeremiah Davenport has remained steady in year three for the Bearcats. The hometown kid caught fire towards the end of January, scored 20 points three times in a four-game span. Davenport scores 13.2 ppg and leads UC in rebounding (5.1).
Fellow junior Mika Adams-Woods continues to grow at the point guard position. MAW scored a season-high 21 points and in their last win over East Carolina, and he averages 9.1 ppg, 3.3 apg, and 2.5 rpg.
South Florida Bulls
South Florida is stuck in the doormat of the AAC and it doesn’t look like things will change soon. The Bulls have dropped eight of their last nine games, and they’ve failed to surpass 55 points since their lone conference win over I-4 rival UCF.
The Bulls have been a mess offensively this season, only scoring 57.3 points per game, while shooting just 37.7% from the floor.
Caleb Murphy has been one of the lone for head coach Brian Gregory’s team. The 6’4 guard is the only player averaging double figures, leading the team with 12.1 ppg.
Javon Greene and Jamir Chaplin start alongside him in the backcourt, with the former second on the team in points (9.7) and rebounding (4.7).
7′ center Russel Tchewa mans the middle, and he scores 5.9 ppg, while leading the team with 5.3 rpg.
CBB Betting Trends:
- USF is 3-6 ATS in their home games this season.
- Cinci is 12-5 ATS this season.
- Under is 4-2 in the Bearcats last 6 road games
Free Cincinnati Bearcats vs. South Florida Bulls NCAAB Prediction: Temple to Cover
South Florida was able to pull off one of those timely upsets over a streaking Temple team last time out, but they may not get so lucky this time around.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: Cincinnati -7.5 (-110)
Cincinnati isn’t Temple. The Owls have fought the injury bug tremendously, but the Bearcats enter this one at full strength with a bit of a chip on their shoulder. USF is still too poor offensively to trust with a margin, and I like Cincinnati responding strong on both sides of the ball here.
