California Golden Bears
Cal used a recent homestand to pick up a couple of wins and get back to .500 in the Pac-12, tied with Arizona State for seventh place.

The Golden Bears beat both Stanford and Oregon State by two points each and covered in a five-point loss vs Oregon. All four of their conference wins have come in Berkeley.
They will play eight more games this month and alternate two on the road, two at home, two on the road, two at home. The last two games on the schedule, in March, are both on the road.
Six of the last ten games away from home should set the record straight for Cal, which is actually still ranked as the worst team in the conference, according to Sports-Reference’s Simple Rating System (SRS).
Sophomore guard Matt Bradley is the guy to watch, offensively, for Cal. He came in last season as a freshman ranked 73rd, according to the Recruitment Services Consensus Index (RSCI), the only such player on Cal’s roster.
He has hit for double-figures in all but one of Cal’s games this season (he scored just seven points against Duke in a game Cal lost by thirty-five), including twenty-five and twenty-three in each of his last two against Oregon and Oregon State, respectively.
Colorado Buffaloes
The SRS indicates Arizona (21.8) is the best in the Pac-12 with Colorado and Oregon (17.3) tied.
Wins and losses have the latter two on top of the standings, however. Colorado and Oregon are tied with three losses but Oregon has one more victory (USC and Stanford also have just three losses but Stanford has two fewer wins than Oregon and one less than Colorado).
The Buffaloes will play both of their games at home this week with a big one vs Stanford looming on Saturday.
They are coming off a twenty-one-point road win at USC over the weekend, in which eight different players made a field goal and scored at least five points; seven of the eight made at least two shots from the field and only one guy attempted double-digit field goals.
Tyler Bey led the way with sixteen; McKinley Wright IV and D’Shawn Schwartz had a dozen each. The Buffaloes had fourteen assists to just nine turnovers (compared to USC’s eleven turnovers and ten assists) and shot fifty-two percent from the field, including over forty-seven percent from three.
