Overall, I would say that Buffalo had themselves a solid season. It was nothing fancy, but they played a pretty good brand of basketball for the most part.
The Bulls last played on March 4th, where they lost to the Kent State Golden Flashes by a score of 70-65. That is clearly not how they wanted their regular season to end, but they will look to get back on track on Thursday.
Throughout the season, I never quite thought that these guys were one of the better ones in the Mid-American. Based on their season, I still feel like Toledo was the most complete team in their conference from top to bottom.
In their last game, they played better in the second half, but it still was not enough to overcome the lead that the Golden Flashes were able to get. It was a game the Bulls could have won, but the execution was just not enough for them to get the victory.
Akron Zips
All in all, I liked the way that Akron played this season. I am curious to see how they do in their conference tournament.
The Zips finished with a record of 21-9. In a conference that is competitive, there is nothing wrong with that record.
They beat the Central Michigan Chippewas on March 4th by a score of 57-56. It was by no means a pretty win over a team that has been brutal this year, but they still did what they had to do.
In their last game of the regular season, the offense for these guys was not that great, but the defense played at a very high level. They will look to carry that over when they face the Bulls.
