Man, Baylor just keeps on playing very well. It is hard not to be impressed by what they have done so far this campaign and it certainly looks like they could make a deep run in March.
The Bears picked up a win over the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday by a score of 80-70. That was a very nice win for them over a conference rival and one of the better teams in college basketball.
I know there are a lot of very good teams in the sport at the moment, but if this team is on their game and can remain healthy, I do not see why they cannot repeat as national champs. Of course, it would not be easy, but it can certainly be done.
This team did not exactly get off to the best start on Saturday, but once they figured things out, Kansas had no answers for them. When the Bears on their game, it is hard to find many teams that can slow down their offense.
Texas Longhorns
Some other teams in the Big 12 may be getting talked about more, but I have liked what I have seen from this Texas team so far. Consistency has been an issue for them at times, but overall, I still feel they are a very dangerous team.
The Longhorns come into this game with a record of 21-8. Getting win number 22 of the season might be the tallest task for them of the regular season, but is something they should be up for.
This team beat the West Virginia Mountaineers by a score of 82-81. The game was probably a little closer than they would have like it to have been, but at the end of the day, they got the result they wanted.
Timmy Allen was the leading scorer for them in their last game with 26 points and 10 assists. Also, Marcus Carr added in 15 points to the contest.
