The Washington Wizards enter this contest coming off a Tuesday night showdown with the NBA’s best Golden State Warriors. The Sacramento Kings last played Monday on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Washington Wizards entered this season with hopes of competing for home-court advantage in the postseason.
Now, they’re simply hoping for a spot in the playoffs.
Washington has done just enough this season to remain competitive, but in the grand scheme of things, that could be more problematic than it is helpful.
Any confidence management has that this current group is going to pull it together is borderline crazy, as the only player truly worth building around (or at least the player who has proven he can be a centerpiece) is John Wall.

Combine that with a Wednesday matchup against the always-entertaining (not for a good reason) Kings, and you’ve got good feelings a brewing for this group from the national’s capital.
Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are third in the Pacific Division. And no, that is not a testament to how competitive they’ve been in comparison to the No. 1 Golden State Warriors or No. 2 Los Angeles Clippers, and an indictment on how horrendous the No. 4 Phoenix Suns and No. 5 Los Angeles Lakers have been this season.
Coming off a blowout loss to the Portland Trail Blazers that saw virtually every important piece sit, there’s little reason to trust this organization.
Not that there’s been any reason to trust it in recent memory, but the current disfunction/willingness to blatantly tank has ruined any suspense as to what’s going to happen the rest of the season.
Sacramento will continue to sit its stars, and George Karl will inch closer and closer to his inevitable offseason firing.
Sorry for not having faith, Kings fans. Your team has done this to itself.
