Tuesday, November 26 finds the San Antonio Spurs meeting up vs. the Chicago Bulls as they play for the first time in the 2018-19 regular season. This is the third of a four game road trip for the Spurs who last played in Milwaukee in a loss on Saturday which was a very competitive game despite the loss. Meanwhile, the Bulls last played at Minnesota on Saturday in a loss.
Last season, San Antonio swept the two game season series. The Spurs hold the all-time record having bested the Bulls 54 of their 87 matches.
San Antonio Spurs
Despite being competitive in most dates the Spurs have lost eight of their last 11 games. The oddity in the wins is they were all against the elite teams — Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers
New Spur DeMar DeRozan has fit in and adapted well even taking over much of the playmaking duties given the lack of depth at the point due to injuries.
The player who is struggling with inconsistency is LaMarcus Aldridge. One game he’ll shoot well and the next he either lacks aggressiveness or shoots poorly from the field.
In the loss to the Bucks, DeRozan led the way with 34 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Other double digit contributors were Bryn Forbes (18), Davis Bertans (17), LaMarcus Aldridge (15), Marco Belinelli (12) and Rudy Gay (10).
The trio Pau Gasol (foot soreness), Lonnie Walker (torn meniscus) and Dejounte Murray (torn ACL) are all out for extended periods.
Four players scored in double digits in the loss to the Wolves with Zach LaVine (28) leading the way. The other trio included Jabari Parker (27), Justin Holiday (14) and Wendell Carter Jr. (12).
The young Bulls kept the game close until the final frame when the Wolves outscored them by 10 points (27-17) to cement the victory.
Chandler Hutchinson (back spasms) has missed the last three games and is questionable for Monday.
A trio of players is out until December including Bobby Portis (sprained MCL, right knee), Kris Dunn (sprained left MCL) and Lauri Markkanen (right lateral elbow sprain). Denzel Valentine will miss four to six months following reconstructive left ankle surgery.

Free San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
Although the Spurs have shown a propensity to rise up for the better teams and uncharacteristically play down to the lower tier squads it’s unlikely to occur in back to back games.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Spurs ATS
Six points isn’t a large margin for a motivated Spurs squad – even a struggling one.
