The Spurs have beaten the Kings; the Lakers have beaten the Kings; the Clippers have beaten the Kings, twice; the Thunder has beaten the Kings, the Jazz has beaten the Kings; and the Grizzlies have beaten the Kings, all since the Kings have last won a game.
The Kings don’t have much left to play for this season. Ideally, they would like to lose the rest of their games and then secure the first overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
It would also be nice if some of their young players keep improving in the second half of a meaningless season.
There are rumors George Hill will be on the move. Hill is a quality point guard, somebody who can easily step onto a contender and make a difference, either as a backup one or a combo guard who plays alongside just about anybody in the backcourt.
He has the ability to handle the ball, pass, score and the size to defend multiple positions on the perimeter.
It would also be the first season Hill doesn’t make the playoffs in his career if he doesn’t get traded. He’s a proven winner and would be a nice addition for a team like Cleveland, or even Boston.
Of course, the Kings might be able to get a late draft pick for him, or even a young piece, though nothing too valuable.
Charlotte had control of Saturday night’s game against Miami before things unravelled in the fourth quarter. The Heat scored five points in seven seconds to tie the game with less than 30 ticks to go.
Then it got a stop and Kelly Olynyk drove the length of the floor, threw up a desperation layup attempt as he was losing the ball and got a bail-out foul call. It was a bad call and it won the Heat the game in regulation.
It’s just another reason why the Hornets should trade Kemba Walker, or not. The franchise is in a bad spot. The Spectrum Center was relatively quiet and empty on Saturday night and it’s not going to go over well with fans if Walker is dealt.
On the other hand, it’s going to be painful to have to wait out all the bad contracts on the roster but I’m not sure there is another course of action. No team is going to take Nic Batum or Dwight Howard off their hands and no rebuild will be able to start until that happens.
Might as well keep Walker around, even resign him after next season, and try to win games in the meantime.

It’s tough to see this team as a double-digit favorite but just because it’s tough to see, I’ll take a flier laying the points.
