The Phoenix Suns will play in their second consecutive road game as they travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Phoenix has lost five games in a row, and most recently lost at Toronto, 115-109. Minnesota is 3-2 over the last five games. The Timberwolves destroyed the Kings in their last game, 119-96. Tonight the Timberwolves look to start a win streak.
The last time the Suns and Timberwolves took the court against each other, was November 26th. The Timberwolves got the win, 119-108. Phoenix beat Minnesota November 11th, 118 -110. Making the season series even at 1-1.
Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns are arguably the worst team in the western conference this season. The Suns are currently 12 games under .500 this year and 1-7 over their last eight games. The Suns have especially struggled since losing Devin Booker. Booker led the team in points with 24 per game this year.

Booker has been sidelined with a groin injury, and Phoenix has lost all five games he has been out. In his absence, TJ Warren has continued to shoulder the scoring load. Warren is averaging 18.7 points per game this year. After Warren, scorers set spotty in the Suns lineup.
Aside from Booker and Warren, the Suns are struggling for options. Rookie Josh Jackson has shown glimpses of becoming a solid NBA player, but has not been consistent enough early on. Jackson is averaging 8.9 points in nine starts for the Suns this year.

Defensively, the Suns terrible. Phoenix is allowing 114.5 points per game this season. Good enough for 30th in the NBA right now. Don’t expect the Suns to start playing any defense anytime soon. Phoenix traded their best player in Eric Bledsoe earlier in the season to Milwaukee.
With Booker out with a groin injury, the Suns definitely could use the scoring a defense Bledose brought to the roster.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves were one of the most talked about teams in the NBA this off-season, and right now it’s showing. Minnesota is five games over .500, and have a home record of 10-5. Minnesota’s Karl Anthony Towns has been solid this season. He leads the team in points (20.4), Rebounds (11.8) and blocks (1.4) per game.
Aside from Anthony Towns all star level play this year, Jimmy Butler is staring to mesh with the Timberwolves roster. Butler is averaging 19.8 points per game, and lead the team in steals, with 1.8 per game this season. The biggest question remains to be Andrew Wiggans. Sometimes his uninspired play late in games, has cost the Timberwoles a handful of games this season.

If Wiggans can get on the same page as the rest of the Timberwolves squad, Minnesota will need to be taken serious in the west. The way he is playing now, Minnesota is still a few pieces away from contending.

Free Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Prediction:
The Phoenix Suns are about as bad as the Nets or Grizzlies this year. With no set timetable for Devin Booker’s return, the Suns could find themselves in tank mode again this season.
Minnesota is playing well, but not convincing basketball right now. If the Timberwolves are to be taken serious, Andrew Wiggians needs to play with some conviction to win.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Timberwolves -11.5
Phoenix is spiraling into an almost certain losing season this year. That said, take Minnesota to cover at home against Phoenix.
