The conference semi-finals between the top-seeded OKC Thunder and fifth-seeded Dallas Mavericks continue in Texas. Dallas stole home-court advantage with their gritty 105-101 victory on Saturday.

It was a given Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving would lead the Mavericks offense.
Both players scored 22 points but it was P.J. Washington who led the team with 27 points prompting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to state “He’s hooping, we’ve got to turn that water off if we want to win this series, for sure.”
For as good as the Mavs defense has performed they’ve yet to figure out how to limit SGA and while Daniel Gafford isn’t on the injury list he hurt his shoulder in Game 3 and may be limited moving forward.

Dallas ranked eighth offensively (117.0) and 18th in defensive rating (114.9) with a net differential of plus +2.1 that ranked 15th overall.
To this point in the playoffs, Dallas ranks seventh offensively (114.0) and eighth defensively (111.0) with a plus +3.0 net differential ranking sixth.
The Mavericks perform well against the spread with a 54-37 record through 91 contests this season.

In Game 3 the biggest difference was scoring in the paint and offensive rebounding which Dallas dominated 52-38 and 15-6 respectively. Clearly, Doncic would like to wrap up the series sooner than later as he deals with copious ailments.
Rebounding was always a concern for OKC but they’ll need to bring extra energy and crash the boards in Game 4. Working in their favor is they only lost three consecutive games once this season and both SGA and JDub were out of those matches.
The scary part for OKC is Irving hasn’t had one of his stand-out offensive performances yet. Still, the Thunder have shown poise all season and follow SGA’s lead who never appears to get shaken so I’m banking on him leading them to victory.
