Down the stretch, the Pelicans alternated wins and losses with six of each but once Zion and Ingram went down the battle to push for a play-in seed became untenable. The loss to the Mavericks was the nail in the coffin as Kristaps Porzingis returned and the combination of the big man and Luka Doncic proved too much to overcome.
Steven Adams (right first MTP sprain), Ingram (left ankle sprain), and Wes Iwundu (shoulder sprain) are questionable. Williamson (left hand fracture), Lonzo Ball (right thumb sprain), and Josh Hart (right thumb surgery) are out.
Golden State Warriors
With the Grizzlies winning on Thursday they’ve added a bit of pressure to the Warriors to win in order to retain their current position as the eighth seed.
That makes the injury report a bit surprising with Stephen Curry among those listed as potentially not playing.
Surely the Warriors would rather finish eighth and have the opportunity to play just one game as opposed to finishing ninth and know they’ll have to win twice to get into the postseason.
The Dubs have won four games in a row including impressive wins versus the Jazz and Suns.
Maybe Steve Kerr is playing a game of cat and mouse given his injury report because he’s got the Curry (tailbone contusion) along with his top trio of players listed as questionable including Draymond Green (finger sprain), Andrew Wiggins (left knee soreness) and Mychal Mulder (left knee soreness).
Eric Paschall (hip flexor) is probable. Definitely out are Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist) and Damion Lee (health, safety protocols) while Klay Thompson (Achilles) and James Wiseman (knee) are out for the season
