Minnesota has been impressive of late, beating the Thunder (which coincided with OKC’s current malaise), and the team appears to be rediscovering its two-way play.
Anthony Edwards has dealt with some lingering injuries, but has looked about as sharp as he has since becoming a pro. The question is how good this team could be if they had a true point guard who was in the same age range as AntMan.
With the trade deadline drawing near Minny is desperate to add a floor general while the Cavs may need to make some tweaks, particularly with the starting rotation. If Cleveland takes the latter route watch for Garland and Allen to draw interest.
While Cleveland has looked much better, this match will serve as a litmus test for how they measure up versus a top-tier club.
I get why the oddsmakers favored the Cavs since they are at home, but winning consecutive games against the same team is hard. Still, I’ve been uber impressed with the Wolves, so I’ll take them and the points.
