The New Orleans Pelicans have started the 2016-17 NBA season 0-3, but they’ve gotten an incredible showing from Anthony Davis in each of those contests.
NOLA’s start to the year proves two things: Davis is one of the most unfair basketball players on the planet, and New Orleans still hasn’t figured out how to maximize his abilities.
The Milwaukee Bucks have started their year 1-2 and have made it clear that this is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team.
These two square off Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a freak. More accurately, he’s the Greek Freak and he’s doing everything he can to get this team to the next level.
So far this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging a team-high 23 points per contest on 50.9 percent shooting. He needs to improve his three-point accuracy (33.3 percent), but he’s collecting 9.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game to make up for his seemingly one deficiency.
Against the Pelicans, you have two mentalities. You can either aim to stop Davis knowing that the rest of the roster isn’t ever going to make up the difference, or you can let AD get his and focus on containing the rest of the hodgepodge roster.
So far this season, teams have proven that the latter can be effective. Davis would be the NBA’s top MVP candidate if New Orleans looked like a playoff team, but his individual performances haven’t been enough to win games.
New Orleans Pelicans
Anthony Davis is averaging 37.7 points through New Orleans’ first three contests. He had a 50-point outing on opening night against the Denver Nuggets, a 45-point showing in the season’s second game against the Golden State Warriors and 18 points against San Antonio one night later.
To go along with his incredible scoring, Davis is averaging 12.3 rebounds, three blocks and shooting 50 percent from the field.
Sources have confirmed that Davis is an alien robot, not an actual human being.
Unfortunately for New Orleans, the rest of its roster is very, very human.
Tim Frazier has come out of nowhere to put up solid numbers and we know that players such as Buddy Hield and Lance Stephenson can create momentum with their energy, but the Pellies haven’t proven they can get everyone involved to win games at this point in the process.

Free Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans NBA Prediction:
The Pelicans have been bad this season, but a contest against Milwaukee feels like the right time to give them their first win.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: New Orleans ATS
If Davis gets a strong showing from even one of his teammates, it should be enough to take down a Bucks squad that’s only win this season has been against the lowly Brooklyn Nets and it was only by two points.
