The Milwaukee Bucks came away on the losing end in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets in their season opener. While the Detroit Pistons now sit at 1-1 after beating the Orlando Magic in a one sided game (final score 108-82.)
However, now Milwaukee looks to redeem themselves in their up incoming showdown with the Detroit Pistons. But that is only if the Pistons allow them to do so, as they hope to go into the next week up 2-1 in the eastern conference playoff race.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks just weren’t able to get much going against the Charlotte Hornets in their season opener.

They scored 96 points on the night. But it was how they got those points that really hurt the team. There wasn’t much ball movement at times, making the offense stagnate when they couldn’t get to their first or second options.
Their bench unit also didn’t help with that, as they went 14/38 from the field, shooting 36.8% on the night. With the injury to Khris Middleton the team is in need of another scorer to help ease the scoring burden off of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker.

Mirza Teletovic can do that, but he can be far too inconsistent at times. While Greg Monroe was brought in last offseason to be that player, but it has yet to work out that way for the team as he continues to struggle off the bench.
Michael Beasley was also brought in for that exact reason but it’s going to take some time for him to get accustomed to playing within the Bucks system. Leaving Matthew Dellavedova as possibly the last resort in order to bring some light to this anemic offense.
He’s going to be going up against Ish Smith next game, so he needs to continue attacking him when the opportunities arise.
If Matthew can get his offensive game going next match it’s going to be really helpful in getting the Bucks the win.
Milwaukee can always get back to playing their stout defense, but the offensive end has always been challenging for the team. So look for the Aussie guard to have a stellar game in the next outing.
Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are looking to make it two in a row after coming away with a 108-82 win over the Orlando Magic. Their defense in that game allowed them to come away victorious, holding the opposition to just 34.7% shooting from the field
That outstanding play on the less glamorous end of the floor was a key contributor in getting them the win because the Magic had no answer to scoring on the Pistons defense.
And on the other end of the court they couldn’t stop Detroit from scoring. Marcus Morris went off for 17 points (7/14 FG) while Tobias Harris dropped 18 points on 8/16 shooting from the field.
Even Ish Smith stepped up after being a no show in their first game of the season, scoring 16 points (8/13 FG) and dishing out 8 assists on the night in 26 minutes of action.

So they’re going to continue to need Ish Smith to produce because the team doesn’t have many other options at the point guard spot. Beno Udrih is his lone backup (scored 13 points) and the team doesn’t have a third point guard on the roster.
That means Ish Smith and Beno Udrih are going to have to continue making plays with the ball, in order for the team to be successful.
The Pistons know what they’re going to get from Marcus Morris, Tobias Harris and Andre Drummond, so now the point guards need to show what the team’s going to get from them game in an game out.

Free Milwaukee Bucks vs. Detroit Pistons NBA Prediction:
Although the Detroit Pistons are dealing with injuries at the point guard position, they seem to have enough talent on their roster in order to pull out the win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Giannis and Jabari is all the Bucks have on the offensive end, making it challenging for them to consistently score. That’s why they’ll stay in the game for the most part, but when it gets down to the closing minutes of the game they’re going to have a challenge scoring the ball.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Over 193.5
Detroit put up 108 points against the Orlando Magic, so looks for them to score around that or less in the next outing. Both teams will easily get to a 100 points apiece, making the “Over” a likely outcome.
