The Eastern Conference Finals continue in Atlanta as the Hawks host the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 on Tuesday, June 29th. The Bucks took the series lead with a comeback victory on Sunday.
State Farm Arena was on fire early as the Hawks built an early 15 point edge and led for the majority of the match but Khris Middleton exploded down the stretch to give the Bucks the easy 113-102 victory.
The Hawks’ backs are against the wall as a loss Tuesday would mean returning to Milwaukee and the possibility of the Bucks clinching their finals berth.

Maybe it’s just me but I never felt like the Bucks were in jeopardy of losing Game 3. Sure they fell behind early but even when they trailed by double-digits they never seemed to be out of the match.
Middleton was due for a big game after some sub-par efforts early in the series that seemingly had more to do with cold shooting than anything the Hawks were doing on him defensively.
He responded with a career-best playoff scoring total of 38 points on 15 of 26 from the field including six 3-pointers, scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter. He added 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Giannis Antetokounmpo also registered a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds plus four assists, two steals, and a block.
For the first time in the series, Jrue Holiday wasn’t effective on offense scoring 6 points on 2 of 11 shooting but dished 12 dimes, grabbed four boards, with two steals, and two blocks.
Bobby Portis continues to provide energy off the bench along with scoring as he chipped in 15 points and Brook Lopez added 10 points.
Atlanta Hawks
While Trae Young has led his team in scoring and playmaking through two games he’d struggled from deep, hitting only five of his 21 attempts. Young made up for that on Sunday connecting on six of his 14 long balls.
The Hawks star led the team in scoring with 35 points but unlike the games in Milwaukee, he failed to reach double-digit assists dishing only four dimes.
At the end of the third quarter, he stepped onto official Sean Wright’s foot twisting his ankle. He got it retaped and returned in the fourth but was grimacing running up and down the court.
John Collins was in foul trouble the majority of the night registering only 23 minutes but producing with 13 points and eight rebounds. Danilo Gallinari was the best reserve with 18 points while Huerter (11) was the only other double-figure scorer.

Once again, the Bucks dominated key categories including rebounds (50 to 35), assists (27 to 20), as well as scoring in the fast-break (11 to 7), and the paint (56 to 34).
Atlanta is a deep squad, who have risen to the previous challenge and benefited a bit by their matchups but this Bucks team simply is better overall.
