With the NBA Cup completed, the league gets back into action, albeit with just two games on Wednesday as the Memphis Grizzlies face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Grizzlies arrive on the heels of a 121-101 beatdown of the Clippers on Monday. Five Grizzlies scored in double figures, with Jaren Jackson Jr. leading the charge with 31 points, while reserve Cam Spencer dropped a cool 27 points.

Meanwhile, the Wolves punched the Kings 117-103 in their Sunday meeting. Anthony Edwards was sidelined, but his teammates stepped up with four Wolves producing double-figure contributions.

Julius Randle led the charge, scoring 24 points and collecting a double-double with his 10 rebounds.

To that end, the Grizz enter this matchup with eight players listed as out or game time decisions (Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke).

As for the Wolves, Anthony Edwards missed the last two matches and is a game time decision tonight.

If you find yourself surprised Julius Randle is the leading assist man on Minnesota perhaps the bigger take away is that this club is desperate to add a starting caliber point guard into the mix. 

Given all the injuries the Grizzlies are faring relatively well and are 7-3 in their last 10 matches. Still, the prospect of Edwards returning and the boost he’ll offer has me taking the Wolves to win and cover.
