The Miami Heat earned a huge win in their last game beating the Houston Rockets 117-109, while out in the Eastern Conference the Indiana Pacers weren’t as lucky coming away losers at the hands of the Washington Wizards (final score 111-98).

The Indiana Pacers just didn’t do a good job containing the Wizards offensive attack right from the get go, and the team trailed the rest of the game because of it.
Washington outplayed them in almost every quarter, and Indiana really had no answer to stopping them. The Wizards shot 51.8% from the field, and a red hot 51.7% from deep.
Those terrible defensive efforts were what put the team behind early, and they couldn’t dig themselves out of that whole the rest of the game. So next outing they can’t allow this to happen again.
The Miami Heat are a streaky team that can do off at any moment. So the Pacers need to force them into tough jumpers right from the opening tip. If they can do that, they’ll have a better chance at coming away victors.

The Miami Heat played as perfect of a game as they’ve ever had in their last outing against Houston.
Despite the Rockets high-power offensive attack, the Miami Heat still held them to just 109 points. However, it was the way in which they did it that allowed them to come away victorious.
Miami forced Houston into taking mid-range jumpers (something they don’t like to do). And out on the perimeter they contested almost every look. Houston made just 13 three-pointers, shooting 32.5% on the night.
But next outing they’re going to have another challenge stopping Paul George.
If the Heat can contain him they’ll have themselves a better chance at winning, because the Pacers don’t play too well when Paul George can’t get going.
That means forcing him into taking contested jumpers needs to be first and foremost. If they can do that they’ll have a shot at pulling out another upset win.
