Friday January 26, the Indiana Pacers arrive at Quicken Loans Arena to face the reeling Cleveland Cavaliers. Indiana enters having won to the Suns in their last outing. Cleveland meanwhile are on a two game losing streak and have lost 10 of their last 13 games.
Last season, the squads played four times with the Cavaliers winning three of the four contests. This season the Pacers have won all three previous meetings and could garner the sweep tonight. The Pacers hold the all-time record having bested the Cavaliers 97 of their 188 matches.
Indiana Pacers
Victor Oladipo garnered a much deserved All-Star reserve nod getting voted in by the coaches. He leads the Pacers with 24.2 points per game.
Although Thaddeus Young (22) led the scoring over Phoenix, Oladipo was masterful with 21 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds. Three other Pacers scored in double digits – Domantas Sabonis (19), Bojan Bogdanovic (17) and Al Jefferson (10) versus the Suns.

Following games Wednesday evening the Pacers sat a half game back of fifth seed Washington. Therefore, depending on what the Wizards do vs. the Thunder and what happens in this game the teams could conceivably swap positions.

T.J. Leaf (ankle), Darren Collison (personal), Myles Turner (elbow) all missed the last game. Glenn Robinson III (ankle) continues to rehab and should return some time in February.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Despite a reportedly fiery closed door meeting where the team aired grievances toward one another the product on the floor didn’t improve. San Antonio was playing without their top star Kawhi Leonard as well as Manu Ginobili, Pau Gasol and Rudy Gay. In spite of missing those four core pieces the game went to the Spurs.
At times the Cavaliers looked better, but the porous defense is still a major problem and even the offense seems to be having issues when facing a top defensive squad like the Spurs.
In spite of all Cleveland’s issues LeBron James became the youngest player to score 30,000 points joining the six other stars in NBA history to accomplish this rare feat.

Trade rumors continue to swirl in Cleveland with George Hill, DeAndre Jordan, Lou Williams and virtually every player who could play center or point guard who is available being bandied about as rumored to be a trade target.
This isn’t doing anything to calm the storm in Cleveland where reportedly the locker room is split between the title winners and new members of the roster, although Dwyane Wade falls on the James side.
Ty Lue is making one key change to shake up the team and will re-insert Tristan Thompson into the starting rotation while Jae Crowder will come off the bench now.
Isaiah Thomas isn’t doing much to endear himself calling out Kevin Love for leaving a game due to illness and missing practice. Suffice to say tensions are at an all time high in the Land.

Free Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Prediction:
Indiana has beat the Cavaliers on all three occasions this season with each victory taking a different path. The first time they blew out Cleveland, the second time Indy won by two points and in the final game the Pacers won a defensive battle.
That said, the Cavaliers are desperate, so nothing short of a quality game on both sides of the court will lead to victory.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Indy +5
Often desperate times call for desperate measures. Expect the Quicken Loans crowd, a motivated LeBron James to play this one like it’s game 7 of the NBA finals. Still, the Cavaliers defense has been so porous I’m not comfortable with the over or the Cavs covering the spread.
