Saturday serves up a full 10-game NBA slate, including the Houston Rockets traveling to face the OKC Thunder.
Houston last played on Thursday, losing 99-109 to the Charlotte Hornets. Only two Rockets scored in double figures, led by Kevin Durant with 31 points, but he had six turnovers. The other player to reach double digits was Jabari Smith Jr. with 17 points and seven rebounds.

Houston Rockets vs. OKC Thunder Odds & Last 5
Last season, the teams played five times because of the In-Season Tournament, with OKC taking three of those contests. This is the final meeting this year between the clubs, with the Thunder up 2-0 already.
On the season, the Rockets reside in the fourth seed in the West with a 31-19 record. Through the last five matches, Houston is 3-2 with two losses in their last two showings.
Meanwhile, OKC is also 3-2, having to navigate through a bevy of injuries that have five of their top six players out, including superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. They’ve built a padding that keeps them atop the league with a record of 40-12 and a 4.5 lead over their nearest competition in the West.
OKC is favored by 4.5 points with an over/under of 216.5 points.

Houston Rockets vs. OKC Thunder bottom line:
Both clubs are looking fatigued, and in the case of the Thunder, are dealing with the perils of the walking wounded. Houston can’t win the season tiebreaker, already down 2-0, but for their psyche, it would be good to gain a victory versus OKC.
Mind you, if the Thunder utilize a predominant reserve rotation, it doesn’t offer much in terms of strategy for a future potential playoff series. Entering this match, the Thunder has seven players listed as “game time decisions”, but with OKC getting the spread nod, the pundits must expect a good portion of them to play.

Rockets Thunder Free Pick: Rockets +4.5
Here is my Rockets Thunder free pick.
Aside from the injuries, there are some red flags for the Thunder. For a team with their length, they aren’t a good rebounding team. The other concern is the differential in shot attempts and second chance scoring, which their opponents have been winning (particularly in the losses)
OKC’s depth just got another shot in the arm with the trade to acquire Jared McCain from the 76ers. The youngster has dealt with a series of injuries but the Thunder got him for a song.
There won’t be much to glean from this contest, given the injuries, other than the Rockets have a great shot of winning, especially if that list of players doesn’t make it to the hardwood.
Houston has struggled on the road, but I think they’ll be focused for this particular match, so take the points and the Rockets.
