Jokic is on pace to return around February 1st so they’ve navigated his absence well. As for this match, several Nuggets are listed as out (Gordon, Johnson, Jokic, Valanciunas) or questionable (Murray, Watson, Braun).
Peyton Watson has taken a massive leap this season and will be an intriguing restricted free agent this summer. He’s averaging 14.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.
If some of the Nuggets do play, I like them to win, but not knowing their status, I’ll roll with the Grizzlies winning and covering. Caveat: Check the injury report just before game time to confirm if Braun and Murray are out or playing. In the latter scenario, switch to taking the points.
