On Monday, April 26th, the Cleveland Cavaliers meet the Toronto Raptors for the final time this season. The Cavaliers won the March 21st game (116-105) while the April 10th match was won by the Raptors (135-115).
Things got chippy in the initial meeting with Colling Sexton getting in the face of Fred VanVleet leading to the teams pushing and shoving. VanVleet had only just returned from missing several games de to contracting COVID and was still far from 100 percent.
At the game end, Sexton once again got mouthy standing in front of the Raptors bench. Post-game, VanVleet spoke on the situation commending Sexton’s play but pointing to his character or lack thereof.

VanVleet missed the second meeting and Sexton might be out Monday. That’s unfortunate as undoubtedly these two would be ready to let their actions on the court do the talking.
Last season, the squads played three times with the Raptors taking all three contests. The Raptors hold the all-time record having won 50 matches of the 95 played.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers have lost five of six following their loss versus the Wizards on Sunday.
Darius Garland led the way with 28 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and a steal. Jarrett Allen posted a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds.
Cedi Osman scored 19 points, Kevin Love offered 12 points and Isaac Okoro added 10 points as the other double-figure contributors.
Turnovers cost the Cavaliers the match as they coughed up the ball 19 times for 21 points. They did outscore the Wizards in the paint with 54 points versus 48 for Washington.
Collin Sexton (concussion) was out Sunday while Damyean Dotson (knee) was questionable but didn’t play Sunday. Both are questionable for Monday.
Cleveland reported Taurean Prince would undergo season-ending ankle surgery while Dylan Wyndler had knee surgery that will keep him out indefinitely.
Toronto Raptors
The four-game winning streak came to an end versus the Knicks. Fred VanVleet delivered a double-double of 27 points and 11 assists with five rebounds.
OG Anunoby also scored 27 points with five rebounds. Pascal Siakam registered 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
Kyle Lowry has had big nights at MSG but was off (1 of 10 for four points) although he delivered seven rebounds and nine assists.
The Raptors have fallen two games back of the 10th seed and with 12 games remaining eight of them are versus top eight seeds and five of those against top four seeds.
Toronto’s bench was nonexistent with the Knicks outscoring them 43 to 11. Gary Trent Jr. shot poorly and the Raptors missed Chris Boucher who sprained his MCL versus the Nets and will miss at least a week.
Boucher (MCL), Rodney Hood (hip), Paul Watson (knee), and Jalen Harris are all expected to be out Monday.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Raptors are 7-3 in the teams last 10 head to head meetings
- The Cavaliers are 6-4 ATS in the last 10 head to head meetings
- Over/Under is 8-2 in the teams last 10 head to head meetings
Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors NBA Prediction:
The Raptors have the rest advantage with Cleveland on the second game of a back-to-back. Only 14 teams in the association possess a positive net differential. The top six seeds in each conference the Grizzlies (8th) and the Raptors.
That stat is even more impressive considering the core four has played just over 20 times together this season.
