Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers’ furious comeback on Monday night silenced the Garden but not Enes Kanter. The Knicks forward wants to fight LeBron James. The two teams don’t play each other again until games 81 and 82 of the season.
If the standings are locked up by then, it may not be a bad time for a little extracurricular activity.

The comeback on Monday night was impressive, though. LeBron and Dwayne Wade were involved in most every big play down the stretch, scoring and doing the little things to will their team to a win.

But that seems to be the only way Cleveland can win these days — by overpowering its opponent when it bears down. Nothing looks easy with this team, as compared to say the Warriors, or the Celtics, or the Spurs or Rockets.
The Cavs won’t be in a position to make a playoff run if they have to exert the sort of energy they are exerting just to beat average teams in the regular season. That won’t be a flip of a switch; it’s going to have to be a long and steady process that starts with Ty Lue and trickles down to every player on the roster.
I’m not confident that process is underway yet, either.
Charlotte Hornets
And the Hornets aren’t a bad team. Don’t let Charlotte’s record deceive you in the first dozen games. The Hornets have played pretty well but they’ve also played a lot of games on the road (where they still struggle) and a lot of good teams. The wins will come for this team.
It looks like Nic Batum will return from an injury that has held him out of play this season. He could start in place of Jeremy Lamb, who has been playing really good basketball. If he loses his starting spot and doesn’t get discouraged about it, the Hornets’ are one All-Star caliber player deeper now.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is just about as good an option as any to throw at LeBron James. He’s not quite as big as James, but he doesn’t play much offense, so he can focus on locking down the King.
I don’t think anybody on the Cavs will be particularly looking forward to chasing Kemba Walker around, either.

Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Charlotte Hornets NBA Prediction: Charlotte wins at home.
The schedule remains pretty brutal for Charlotte the rest of this month. The Hornets just have to pick up wins here and there and they will take off in December and through to 2018. This is one they can and should win at home.
