Chicago continues to be the most confusing team in the Eastern Conference as they enter this one against the Kings here on Wednesday.
Chicago is back to their losing ways as they’ve fell in 2 straight and continue to bounce back and forth in the Eastern Conference.
The Kings look to find their stability again as they haven’t been the same team since their 5 game winning streak was snapped.
The Bulls sit 9.0 games off the pace in the East in 5th place. They are just 0.5 game back from the 4th and 3rd place teams and are tied for the 6th spot and 1 game in front of of the 7 and 8 spots.
The East is an absolute log jam and Chicago has bounced back and forth in that jam consistently. The Bulls can’t find any momentum as they have dropped 2 in a row and look to put an end to their losing ways here in a new month.
The new month started off badly with an overtime loss to the Jazz on Monday. Chicago blew a slim 4 point halftime lead and saw Gordon Hayward completely take the game over.
The Bulls continue this 7 game road trip that saw them split in Los Angeles to start and follow that up with the loss to Utah. They’ll have 2 games on the west coast then 2 games on the east.
The Kings finally got back in the win column after their recent struggles with a 111-104 win over the Bucks.
Sacramento rattled off 5 straight wins and DeMarus Cousins was the best playing in the month of January, but then the Kings hit a wall and couldn’t get anything going.
They bounced back with the turn of the calendar as Rude Gay and Rajon Rondo both stepped up with Cousins down. Gay finished with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Rondo put in 19 points and 7 assists.
Cousins status remains unknown for Wednesday, but if he isn’t ableto go, the pressure shifts to Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein to really step up.
The duo have 21 rebounds and 11 points combined in the win over Milwaukee.
