(1-5) Chicago Bulls vs. Orlando Magic (6-2)
The Bulls and Magic have started their seasons in opposite fashion. We all knew the Bulls were going to be bad, and yes, as it turns out, they’re bad.
The Magic, on the other hand, are another team we all thought would start slow, and yet they’ve found a lot of productivity most didn’t see coming.
These two face off Friday night.
The Bulls don’t have many things going for them as we cross over into November. What they do have, however, is a surprise start to the season for rookie Lauri Markkanen.
Markkanen, an Arizona product who we all knew had talent but weren’t sure how quickly he’d be able to tap into it, has found a comfortable spot as a starter in the rotation.
Yes, that starter spot opened up because of the unfortunate incident that led to Bobby Portis being suspended and Nikola Mirotic literally breaking his face in the altercation…but that’s neither here nor there at this juncture.
Markkanen is finding a way to score both as a spot-up shooter and an off-the-dribble guy, which is impressive for a guy his size.
Outside of Markkanen, the Bulls are still looking for consistent performances, hence their one-win record at this point.
They’ll need help across the roster if they’re going to stand a chance against the surprisingly hot Magic.
Orlando, like the Bulls, have found a breakout season from one of the NBA’s potential stars. Aaron Gordon has been a machine to start the year.
So far this season, Air Gordon is averaging 20.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He’s also shooting a vastly improved 57.7 percent from the three-point line on better than four attempts per contest.
That three-point shooting is almost certainly unsustainable, but it’s a sign that he’s added a new level to his game that few saw coming.
Unlike the Bulls, the Magic have a strong group surrounding their breakout star. For starters, Evan Fournier has become a No. 1 option on offense, posting 22 points per night on 55.8 shooting from deep (5.4 attempts per game).
Nikola Vucevic is also reminding fans across the league that he’s a talented center—a borderline All-Star in fact out East.

Free Chicago Bulls vs. Orlando Magic NBA Prediction:
Although it’s been fun to watch the Magic start the season hot, it’s very realistic that they come down to earth at some point this season—not even too far in the future.
The good news for them, however, is that it’s not going to happen against the lowly Bulls.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Orlando Magic ATS
The Magic should come out hot in this one, and that’s going to be a problem for a Bulls team that struggles to generate offense outside of its star rookie.
