Friday, November 25th, finds the Chicago Bulls facing the OKC Thunder for the first time this season and will play once more with Chicago hosting on February 12th.
Both teams last played on Wednesday with the Bulls defeating the Bucks 118-113 while the Thunder lost 126-131 in overtime versus the Nuggets
Last season the clubs played twice with Chicago winning both contests. The Bulls hold the all-time record with 77 wins in 151 matches versus the Thunder.
Chicago Bulls
DeMar DeRozan may be known as the mid-range assassin but something else he never gets enough credit for is his leadership. A role he’s embraced with every franchise he’s played for.
It started in Toronto when he led the team up the ladder as they found sustained success under his captaincy (co-captain with Kyle Lowry), he carried that over into San Antonio where he often was the primary playmaker and the clutch time closer.
Now he’s doing it in Chicago as Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic both seem to be struggling to find consistency let alone leading the rest of the team.
This past week, it was DeRozan who once again took that leadership position to rally his squad and break the four-game losing streak they were mired in.
And it wasn’t just any teams – it was the top two Eastern clubs (Celtics, Bucks). In the two games he averaged 32 points, six rebounds, six assists, a steal, a block and even shot 3-balls connecting on all three versus Boston and 2 of 3 versus the Bucks!
Chicago scores 111.1 points per game tied with the Bucks in 16th while shooting 47.2% from the field, tied with the Suns for 10th, and 36.6% from deep ranking 13th overall.
Defensively, they allow 111.4 points per game (13th) with opponents shooting 47.4% from the field (21st) and 38.1% from deep tied with the Nets in 28th.
Javonte Green (back) is probable while Goran Dragic (stinger) is doubtful for Friday. Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out indefinitely.
OKC Thunder
While the Thunder might not have a winning record they are one of the better performers against the spread this season with a 10-7 success rate.
They also happen to be one of the more entertaining live games to catch given their compete level and the numerous comebacks they’ve had this season.
The Thunder score 116.9 points per game ranking fifth. OKC ranks 14th shooting 46.7% from the field and ranks 17th from the perimeter shooting 34.9%.
Defensively, the Thunder rank 27th for opponent points allowed per game with 117.5 scored. Their foes shoot 46.7% from the field which is tied for 18th with the 76ers and are in are tied with the Knicks in 15th for opponent perimeter percentage (35.8%).
Mike Muscala (finger) is out indefinitely. Chet Holmgren (foot) is out for the season.

Free Chicago Bulls vs. OKC Thunder NBA Prediction:
The Thunder are one of the better performers in the over/under bet registering 13-5 through 18 games and are 7-2 at home on the over/under bet.
Chicago is ripe to get caught in a trap game, especially after consecutive victories versus arguably the top two Eastern Conference squads (Celtics and Bucks). A key in both victories was an improvement on the perimeter as they made 14 and 18 triples respectively.
I’ll take the points and the gritty Thunder
