The Chicago Bulls take on the Indiana Pacers in this early season Eastern Conference showdown.
Chicago won the first matchup of the season by a score of 118-101.
With Derek Rose in New York Jimmy Butler is the definitive face of the franchise for the Chicago Bulls. He is having a slow start to the season, averaging 21 points, 7 rebounds, but only 2 assists per game.
In the first game against Indiana he was 6-9 from the floor for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
He is a threat to put 30 points every game, and it should be a great matchup against fellow All Star Paul George.
Dwayne Wade has had a quiet a start to his Bulls career. The veteran guard has seen his minutes climb each game this season, which may not bode well if the Bulls want to make a long playoff run.
He was efficient in limited minutes against the Pacers, finishing 4-7 from the field and 6-6 from the free throw line to end the game with 14 points. He also chipped in 5 rebounds.
With an increase in minutes I expect him to put up 20 points in this one.
Rajon Rondo was the other big acquisition made by the Bulls front office. One of the most underrated point guards in the league should be the main ingredient to Chicago improving the efficiency on their up-tempo offense.
He is one of the best passers in the game and nearly 8 assists in the early part of the season. His matchup against Jeff Teague will be one of the key ones of the night.
Paul George has been on a tear in the first 5 games of the season, but it has only translated into 2 wins. He is shooting 47% from the field and is averaging nearly 25 points per game.
He will have an intense matchup with fellow 2-way star Jimmy Butler, but his ability to create his own shot should be the difference in this game.
Jeff Teague is having a rough time shooting the ball, but the Indiana native has been a good distributor, averaging 7 assists per game.
He and Rajon Rondo are both known for their defense and ability to find the open teammates, so this matchup should see both veteran guards put up big numbers.
Myles Turner is continuing his strong play. The talented second year big man is averaging 17 points and nearly 8 rebounds a game.
He shouldn’t have any trouble scoring against Taj Gibson and a weaker Bulls front line, but on the defensive end of the floor he must stay out of foul trouble. In the Pacers last game against the Bucks he had 5 fouls and was limited to only 24 minutes.
If he can play over 30 minutes he should put up a double-double.

Free Chicago Bulls vs. Indiana Pacers NBA Prediction:
The Bulls break the game open in the 4th, as Turner’s foul trouble keeps the Pacers front line weak in protecting the rim.
