The Bulls noticed they need change and they went out and did just that.
After trading away their star player, the Bulls added many pieces that will fill voids they’ve been missing over the past few seasons.
Is it enough to turn them into a contender? Let’s break it down.
Chicago Bulls Strengths:
The Chicago Bulls went out and added three key pieces that will play a major role in their season.
Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo and Robin Lopez will immediately be inserted into the starting lineup and play key parts to the success of the Bulls.
Lopez will provide a giant boost inside on both ends of the floor for the Knicks, while Rondo will replace Derrick Rose at the point position.
One thing Rondo brings is injury security, as Rose was more of a liability than anything.

Wing scoring won’t be an issue for this team either. With the addition of Dwayne Wade and adding him to Jimmy Butler, the Bulls will have plenty of scoring.
Add Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott as outside shooters and the options for scorers is going to be plenty.
Chicago Bulls Weaknesses:
While the Bulls have Nikola Mirotic and Doug McDermott to shoot outside, that’s about it for them.
The additions of Rajon Rondo and Dwayne Wade will booster the jump shots for the Bulls, but otherwise, the threats just aren’t there.

With that, there will be a lot of pressure on Mirotic to be that go to guy from behind the arc.
There is also just a lot of questions still surrounding this team. With Pau Gasol leaving, the Bulls are going to rely heavily on Brook Lopez solely to be in the paint.
He goes from being a role player to a player that needs to produce. Can he live up to the pressure?
Along with that, the Bulls have just a 2nd year coach in Fred Hoiberg. There are many questions surrounding how he’ll adapt and be able to work with a bunch of veterans that the Bulls have.
Chicago Bulls Betting Prediction: 47-35

Yes they do lack the 3 point shot, but they have a lot of playmakers and a lot of depth.
Chicago has to get off to a fast start this season. It sounds cliche, but without a fast start they certainly will start to question a lot.
There will be no issue as far as Hoiberg and the team, but if things don’t go well early, he’ll get some critics questioning whether or not he’s the guy for the job.
