Charlotte, meanwhile, also made some moves, trading Mason Plumlee for Ousmane Dieng but immediately sent him out for Coby White and Mike Conley (since waived). They also grabbed Tyus Jones but traded him for Malaki Branham and finally added Xavier Tillman.
It will be interesting to see how each team navigates with so many new faces in their lineup. Watch for Coby White to excel as a Sixth Man.
Pace will be a deciding factor in this match, with the Hawks pushing the pace while the Hornets try to slow things down. Whoever excels in their objective will have a decided advantage.
Obviously, the Hornets are on a roll, and being on the road isn’t necessarily a deterrent given the Hawks’ struggle on their home court (10-14). Since Charlotte is right behind the Hawks, this match is arguably the most important they’ve played during their win streak.
