This is a rare spot where these teams are playing back to back and what makes it ever rarer is that the Hawks won the first leg on Saturday night. As you can see those instances have been few and far between. They have not won back to back games this season.
The Nets are not good either but they do have twice as many wins as Atlanta so far. You have to think they want some revenge too.
No matter what it was going to be a tough season for the Nets but injuries have made it tougher. Jeremy Lin is out for the season and D’Angelo Russell is going to be out for a while too.
That really depletes the backcourt but at the same time create opportunities for young players. I have always like Spencer Dinwiddie’s game even though he might not be enough of a shooter for the modern NBA.
Allen Crabbe was brought in to create space and might see more minutes now. He is making 40% of his threes and is a pretty good defender. Probably better off the bench than as a starter though.
The Nets might have the least production inside in the NBA. They have Tyler Zeller and Timofey Mozgov but neither plays much. Trevor Booker leads the team in rebound with 6.5.
These Nets are bad but probably still better than Atlanta. That’s what made the loss over the weekend so surprising.
Atlanta is going to take the wins where they can get them and this is probably their best shot at a winning streak this season. I do not see any records being set for futility with this group but it is going to be a very lean year. Not sure how much development they are having either.
Other than with Dennis Schroeder who could be an All-Star candidate this year. He is averaging 20ppg but quite literally has no clue who else is going to show up in support on a nightly basis. In the recent win over the Nets Luke Babbitt was the answer with 20 points off the bench.
The Hawks are really depleted inside thanks to injuries to Mike Muscala, Dewayne Dedmon and rookie John Collins. Miles Plumlee got the start at center in the win but wasn’t very productive. This team is all perimeter right now, like the Nets.

Free Brooklyn Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks NBA Prediction:
I am guessing that Atlanta might actually be favoured in this one off the recent result. That has only happened a couple of times this season and they are 2-0 SUATS in those games.
The only problem with following that data is that you are stuck backing Atlanta. Not exactly a fun proposition. They are 5-5 ATS at home this season.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Hawks -1.5
I suppose going with the hot hand could make some sense here. As long as you don’t have to spot Brooklyn too much.
