For the first time in this series the teams are playing on a single day of rest. Given how much rest they had leading up to the NBA Finals it shouldn’t be a problem for either side.
On Friday, Larry O’B will be in the building as Boston attempts the sweep while the Mavericks will try to do what no team in league history has ever done – come back from an 0-3 hole.

Dallas Mavericks
First, let’s address the elephant in the room — Luka Doncic and his constant whining at the refs. Frequent readers are all too familiar with my thoughts on this as I cited it as the main reason for why I avoided watching Mavericks games this season.
On Wednesday, Doncic didn’t just embarrass himself but he removed any chance for his team to get back in the series when he fouled out after committing a series of dumb fouls and screaming at the refs throughout the game.
Defensively, he’s been an albatross the entire postseason punctuated by his league-worst for blow-by drives ranking first versus the Celtics at 68% and also ranked second/third versus the Clippers (65%) and Thunder (59%).
Mavericks Stats
Dallas ranked eighth offensively (117.0) and 18th in defensive rating (114.9) with a net differential of plus +2.1 that ranked 15th overall.
To this point in the playoffs, Dallas ranks seventh offensively (113.2) and eighth defensively (111.4) with a plus +1.8 net differential ranking fifth.
The Mavericks perform well against the spread with a 59-42-1 record through 102 contests this season.

I’ve tapped the Mavs in each match assuming they’d summon a similar performance that got them to the Finals but I’m finally throwing in the towel (and yes I know Doncic is more than capable of pulling a rabbit out of his hat).
Ultimately, the bad taste left by a young star acting like a petulant child has taken its toll on me.
