Boston took its third game in a row beating the Bulls at home to make this one an elimination game. At this point it seems like a forgone conclusion but perhaps Chicago has enough pride to push it to a game 7.
Usually when you take the first couple of games in the series it makes for quick work, especially if you win on the road. That has not been the case with the Bulls who have to win tonight to stave off elimination.
Boston won and covered at home in G5 but it was a different cast of characters that stepped up for them. That has been the case all series which is either masterful coaching or player inconsistency. Hard to tell.
Gerald Green gave them a lift in the win at home in G5 but was a non factor in this one scoring only 2 points in 12 minutes as a starter once again. Coach Brad Stevens is not forcing things though. If you are not playing well you don’t play.
Isaiah Thomas may have scored 24 points, tying for the team high but he is still struggling to shoot the ball well. He was 1 for 10 on three and his numbers only looked like they did because he was 11 for 11 at the line.
Avery Bradley also chipped in 24 points in the last win. It is encouraging because he has basically been a no show all series. It’s nice when your second leading scorer decides to play.
Al Horford continues to deliver. He is not really a post player anymore but he is a big and he also netted a triple double in their last game.
This has definitely been an interesting series. Coming into it I though the Bulls would challenge but might not actually win games. Instead they have won two on the road but have been slipping ever since.
Dwayne Wade had another turn back the clock performance in the last game coming pretty close to a triple double himself. Still it wasn’t enough.
Jimmy Butler is the guy they need to be on track if this group is going to have a chance to extend the series. He had another bad shooting game. One more and he can work on his game over the summer.
Bobby Portis was big early in the series but since has been very quiet. They need to spark something with his athleticism and get some more production up front. Somebody has to step up or they are gonzo.

Free Game 6 Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
All of the momentum is clearly with Boston at this point. Do the Bulls have it in them to even put up a fight?
I think they can challenge but I am not sure I would bet on them to win and extend the series.

Look for a hard fought game but the Celtics win and advance.
