Badgers vs. Ducks Gameday
It’s Week 9 of the 2025 college football season, and the Wisconsin Badgers are flying west to take on the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM on FS1, and Eugene will be rocking under the lights for this one.
The Badgers limp into the matchup at 2-5 overall and still searching for their first road win of the season.
Sitting 0-2 away from home, Wisconsin’s offense has been ice-cold, and their defense hasn’t done enough to compensate.
Meanwhile, Oregon is having another powerhouse year at 6-1, sitting sixth in both the AP and Coaches Polls. The Ducks are 3-1 at home and looking to keep that momentum rolling after a statement 56-10 win over Rutgers.
These two met last November, when Oregon squeaked out a 16-13 win in Madison.
This time, the Ducks get home-field advantage — and a struggling Wisconsin squad that looks overmatched on paper.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Oregon Ducks Odds & Last 5
Oddsmakers aren’t exactly sweating this one. Oregon enters as a massive favorite at -33.5, while Wisconsin is getting +33.5 on the spread. The Ducks’ dominance — and the Badgers’ offensive woes — make that line feel about right.
Wisconsin’s recent outings tell the story: a 34-0 loss to Ohio State and a 37-0 shutout against Iowa.
They’ve been blanked in back-to-back games, a brutal stretch that highlights how lost this offense has looked.
Oregon, on the other hand, is rolling. They crushed Rutgers 56-10 after rebounding from a surprising 30-20 home loss to Indiana.
With their high-powered attack back in sync, the Ducks have their sights set on another double-digit victory.
Ducks Stats
Oregon’s offense has been a machine in 2025. They rank 2nd nationally in points scored (309) and 9th in rushing yards (1,701). Their passing game isn’t far behind either, ranked 37th with 1,843 yards through the air.
Defensively, they’ve been stout, allowing only 101 points — 49th overall — while collecting 13 sacks (16th) and 8 interceptions (9th). It’s the kind of balance most teams dream about.
The Ducks have won six of their last seven, with the lone hiccup being that odd loss to Indiana. Key injuries to playmakers like Kyler Kasper and Evan Stewart could test their depth, but Oregon’s bench talent is deep enough to keep them rolling.
Dante Moore has been lights-out at quarterback, leading one of the most efficient offenses in the country.
When he’s in rhythm, Oregon’s attack feels almost unfair.

Badgers Stats
Wisconsin’s offense, simply put, has been stuck in neutral. They’ve scored just 93 total points (95th nationally), with 1,131 passing yards (114th) and 811 rushing yards (105th).
That combination is a recipe for long nights against elite teams.
The silver lining? They’ve managed 113 first downs (59th), showing they can move the chains in spurts. But finishing drives has been a nightmare, especially against top-tier defenses.
On the defensive side, the Badgers have allowed 170 points (92nd). They’ve shown flashes up front with 12 sacks (17th) and a knack for forcing turnovers — four interceptions ranking them 5th.
Still, the offense’s inefficiency constantly leaves them on the field too long.
Quarterback Danny O’Neil leads the team with 635 passing yards and 5 touchdowns through six games, but he’s also thrown five interceptions.
Backup Hunter Simmons hasn’t fared much better with 383 yards, one TD, and four picks of his own.

Badgers vs. Ducks QB Matchup
Oregon’s Dante Moore has been dynamite. In seven games, he’s thrown for 1,686 yards and 19 touchdowns, while keeping turnovers in check with just four interceptions.
His arm talent and decision-making have put him among the nation’s most efficient quarterbacks.
Backup Luke Moga has seen limited action in three appearances, logging just 58 yards and no touchdowns, serving mainly in mop-up duty.
Wisconsin’s QB situation, however, is a different story. Danny O’Neil’s 635 yards and 5 TDs are overshadowed by his equal number of interceptions. Hunter Simmons hasn’t done much to change that trend, adding 383 yards, a single touchdown, and four picks.
The Badgers need stability under center — and fast.
Wisconsin Badgers vs. Oregon Ducks bottom line: Oregon’s offense should overwhelm Wisconsin early and often. Unless the Badgers’ defense plays lights-out, this one could get ugly by halftime in Eugene.
Wisconsin Badgers vs. Oregon Ducks Football Betting Trends
- Wisconsin is 10-11 straight up in their last 21 away games.

Badgers Ducks Free Pick: Under 44.5
Here is my Ducks Badgers free pick. Oregon’s defense has been rock-solid this season, giving up only 101 points and ranking 49th nationally. That kind of defensive consistency makes it tough for opposing offenses to find rhythm or big plays downfield.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s offense just hasn’t clicked the way fans hoped.
With only 93 total points and a 95th national ranking in scoring, they’ve struggled to sustain drives or finish in the red zone — not an ideal situation against a disciplined Ducks defense.
Historically, these teams tend to play tight, low-scoring battles, and their last meeting stayed well under 49.5 points. Given both squads’ current trends, another defensive slugfest seems likely here.
With Oregon’s defense leading the way and Wisconsin’s offense sputtering, the Under 44.5 feels like the safest bet on the board.
Expect field goals and defensive stands rather than shootout fireworks. Both sides will grind the clock, making the under the smart play in this matchup.
