Washington State will be on the road to face off with Wisconsin in this non-conference matchup on Saturday.
The kickoff in this ball game is set for 3:30 EST from Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI.
With no real surprise, the Badgers are a very big favorite at home in this spot. The spread in this one did start off with Wisconsin laying the 17 points, but that number has gone up half a point across the board.
In regards to the total, it opened at 46.5 and has been bet up to 49.
Both of these programs opened up with a victory in week 1 and will be looking to get their second win of the season on Saturday.
Washington State Cougars
Washington State did pick up a win in their opener with Idaho by a score of 24-17, but it was far from a convincing game for them.
They actually trailed 10-0 at one point last Saturday and it took heroics for them to eventually get the job done.
I get that teams only really care about wins and losses, but how you win is important. The bottom line is they played a Vandals team that is not all that good and did not win in a convincing manner.
The running game was very good for the Cougars last time out and it was led by Nakia Watson who had 18 carries for 117 yards. There is no question they will attempt to have a similar approach on offense against Wisconsin, but that will be very tricky when they have to face off with a stout run defense.
This game is a very big challenge for Washington State and I think the biggest area of struggle is going to be on offense. They are not the most explosive on that side of the field and they have to face off with a defense that was one of the best in the nation a year ago and is still very talented.
Wisconsin Badgers
In the opening game for Wisconsin, their victory was a lot less stressful as they were able to take down Illinois State 38-0.
Look, I get the level of competition they faced last time out was not very good, but I still liked what I saw from them, especially in regards to their defense. Given how much offense we are seeing in college football today, it is never an easy thing to shut a team out.
The Badgers’ defense was able to pick off Zack Annexstad twice and did a good job of containing their opponent’s running game. They will certainly be challenged a lot more on that side of the ball in this game, but there are still plenty of reasons to feel good about that unit once again performing at a high level.
Offensively, Graham Mertz was quite efficient against the Redbirds and Braelon Allen left off where he did a year ago with 14 carries and nearly 150 rushing yards.
Facing off with the Cougars is a game that is very winnable for the Badgers and it is one they have to take advantage of. We all know how difficult their schedule will be when they start exclusively playing games within their conference, so they are really going to have to take care of their business here.

4* Washington State vs. Wisconsin NCAA Betting Final Analysis:
In this matchup, I do not see a game that ends up being all that high scoring.
The main strength of both of these teams is their defense and I expect them to play the game in that sort of manner.
I am not saying there are going to be no points scored on Saturday, but it would not shock me if it shapes out to be a rock-fight game in Madison.
In the end, the Badgers are the better team and I look for them to be too much for their opponent to handle in a relatively low-scoring tilt.
My play is on the under of 49 points here.
