The Washington State Cougars will travel to Los Angeles and take on the USC Trojans from the LA Coliseum this Saturday night on ESPN. USC will open as the 12-point favorites at home, with the total opening at 6065

Washington State Cougars
Washington State looks pretty good this season. The Cougars picked up three non-conference victories, with strong road win over Wisconsin standing out. They nearly beat Oregon in Pac-12 opener, but they bounced back nicely last weekend.
In Week 5, Washington State beat Cal at home, 28-9, improving to 4-1 against the spread this season.
Washington State scores 29.6 points per game, while allowing 18.2 ppg.
Cam Ward has come in and made the Cougs a threat in conference play. The Incarnate Word transfer has made the transfer from FCS to Power 5 look seamless. He’s endured growing pains with interceptions, but he’s coming along and should give SC a game this Saturday.
Ward has thrown for 1,445 passing yards with 13 touchdowns to seven interceptions through his first five starts as a Cougar.
Wazzu takes the pass-first approach, but Nakia Watson has made the best of his opportunities, gaining 312 rushing yards and catching 12 passes.
Ward has distributed the ball pretty well early. Donovan Ollie leads the team in receptions (27) and receiving yards (298), while De’Zhaun Stribling has 22 catches, 286 yards, and a team-leading four touchdowns. Fifth-year Renard Bell has 14 catches and 200 yards in the two Pac-12 games.
USC Trojans
It only took four weeks, but it really looks like the USC Trojans are back and look like the team to beat out West. Southern Cal thumped Rice in the opener by 42, then picked up victories over in-state foes Stanford and Fresno State. The Trojans escaped Corvallis with a three-point win over Oregon State, then returned to the Coliseum for a lighter conference matchup.
In Week 5, USC beat a rejuvenated Arizona State, 42-25, dropping to 3-2 against the spread this season.
Caleb Williams came over with Coach Riley, and he has not disappointed. The former OU QB was rattled last weekend against the Beavers, but came through with a big time game-winning drive versus Oregon State. He looks like the best to grace the position at USC in a while.
Williams has thrown for 1,402 passing yards with 12 touchdowns to one interception through his first five starts.
After Williams led the team in rushing against Rice, Travis Dye has taken the lead role by storm. The Oregon transfer has rushed for 100 yards in three of the last four games, and he torched Wassu in his matchup with them last season. Dye leads the Trojans with 422 rushing yards and five touchdowns, while former Stanford back Austin Jones has complimented with 213 rushing yards and three scores.
Tahj Washington and Jordan Addison are going to give USC one of their best wideout tandems in recent memory. Washington has recorded back-to-back 600-yard seasona, while Addison came over from Pittsburgh after having one of the most prolific seasons in college football history (93/1479/17).
Addison picked right up where he left off, scoring twice against Rice, then following it up with a seven-catch, 172-yard, two-score performance in the win over Stanford. OU transfer Mario Williams’ rapport with Caleb Williams was on display as well, as he added four catches and 74 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown as well.
