A neutral site Top 25 matchup headlines Week 1 as the #17 USC Trojans take on the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide inside AT&T Stadium.
The defending champions look to start their defense off on the right foot with a marquee win against a Trojans team who has serious potential to be a BCS team and even a potential playoff team.
#17 USC Trojans
The Trojans are one of the more intriguing teams here in 2016. While they have to replace a lot and have a lot of new faces to work with, they have the schedule to build a very impressive season.
It starts here with the #1 team in the nation here in Week 1 for starters.

They then will endure road games at Stanford, Utah, Washington and UCLA. At home, their schedule features games against Notre Dame, Oregon and Arizona State.
The Trojans lost Cody Kessler to the NFL after last season and will see their junior QB make his first career start.
Max Browne will get the feeling of the first of many high pressured games with a capacity crowd rocking with Alabama fans inside AT&T Stadium.
With Browne making his first start, look for the Trojans to lean on the run game here, especially early on.

Justin Davis and Ronald Jones both fell just shy of 1000 yards last season, as the RBs offer a variety of different styles.
They’ll get plenty of touches early against the Alabama defense and will have to find a way to pick up chunks of yardage and get Browne into some 3rd down and short situations.
#1 Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama has restored their powerhouse ways in the college football world as they enter 2016 looking to defend their National Championship from last season.
The Crimson Tide will be tested early against this USC team and that may not be a good thing as they have to break in a brand new QB and RB tandem.
Alabama will enter this one against the Trojans with a QB battle to deal with. While it’s odd to not have a solidified QB under Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide have a lot of solid options.
Cooper Bateman is the only one of the potential QB candidates to actually appear in a game.
David Cornwell will give him the most competition, a sophomore that really stepped up in the spring and caught the attention of many of the coaches.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Expect both QBs to get time here, but if the Crimson Tide get into a hole, Saban and Alabama could be in a lot of trouble with the flipping back and forth.
Top recruit Bo Scarbrough will get the RB duties. There is a lot of buzz surrounding him as well, but working with different QBs in the backfield may be tough on the freshman.

Free Week 1 NCAA Football Prediction
Alabama has a lot of questions to answer with their offense.
They lost a lot and while USC did lose their share of stars, they get a pair of Oklahoma transfers in that have a lot of potential.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: USC +10.5
10.5 is a lot here. If USC can get out early, the Trojans may have a lot of troubles as they will be switching off with QBs, not getting much rhythm in there.
