The Ragin’ Cajuns are coming off a 31-3 over Texas State to move to 3-1 in the conference. Coastal Carolina won their first Sun Belt game last week when they beat Troy 36-35. This was a game that went back and forth and a two-point conversion in the final seconds was the difference. The Chanticleers are now 1-3 in the conference, but more importantly, they are just two wins away from the six needed to become bowl eligible.
Coastal Carolina had a ton of success moving the football on Troy, totaling 476 yards of offense. However, this game was an outlier of sorts as they normally only average 405.6 yards per game. If this team has a strength on offense, it is running the football. They are averaging 195.2 rushing yards per game, ranking 37th in the FBS.

Defensively, this team is decent at best. They are allowing 28 points per game this season, but against just Sun Belt opponents they allow an average of 38 points per game.
In their four conference games, they have not allowed less than 30 points, which is very concerning given how UL Lafayette can run the ball.
Their main weakness is defending the run, so this is something they are going to have to improve on quickly if they want any chance to beat this Ragin’ Cajuns team.
