Bruins vs. Ducks Gameday
The No. 21 UCLA Bruins visit the No. 13 Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET on CBS.
UCLA enters 4-0 under first-year coach Bob Chesney, including a 2-0 start in Big Ten play. The Bruins have quickly become one of the conference’s more interesting stories, although Saturday brings a serious upgrade in competition.
Oregon is 3-1 under Dan Lanning and 1-0 in conference play. The Ducks return from their bye week unbeaten at home, but they’ll have to adjust to an important change on offense.
UCLA brings an unbeaten record to Eugene, where Oregon’s depth and home-field advantage face a genuine test.
The Ducks have won five straight meetings against UCLA and 11 of the last 12. They’ve also beaten the Bruins eight consecutive times at Autzen Stadium. Apparently, Eugene hasn’t been particularly interested in extending the welcome mat.
Chesney’s team has enough confidence to challenge that history. Whether the Bruins can maintain their composure in one of college football’s louder stadiums is another matter.
It’s Week 6, UCLA Bruins vs. Oregon Ducks, hopefully we get a great matchup.

UCLA Bruins vs. Oregon Ducks Odds & Last 5
Oregon opened as an 11.5-point favorite at -459 on the moneyline, with UCLA getting +11.5 and +351. The supplied game total is 59.5 points.
UCLA crushed Maryland 54-3 in its latest outing after beating Purdue 52-38. The Bruins have shown they can win games with different offensive demands, which is useful when facing a defense as talented as Oregon’s.
The Ducks defeated USC 41-27 after falling 39-31 to Oklahoma State. Earlier, Oregon dismantled Portland State 84-0, although nobody should confuse that particular afternoon with a championship-caliber defensive challenge.
Both teams enter off a bye week, giving their coaching staffs additional preparation time. Oregon has the advantage of playing at home, while UCLA has already demonstrated it can handle a road assignment.

Ducks Stats
Oregon averages 47.5 points and 505.5 total yards per game. The Ducks have been especially productive through the air, generating 346.5 passing yards per contest.
Jordon Davison leads the backfield with 260 rushing yards and five TD’s. Dierre Hill Jr. has contributed 184 rushing yards and 169 receiving yards, giving the offense another way to attack defenses that concentrate on stopping the pass.
Oregon has allowed 93 points through four games, with seven sacks and six interceptions. Its secondary has been opportunistic, although opponents have occasionally found room to move the football.
The Ducks have also done an excellent job getting opponents off the field on third down. That matters against a UCLA offense built to sustain possessions and wear down defensive fronts.
Receiver Jeremiah McClellan is unavailable, adding another personnel challenge for Lanning. Oregon still has considerable skill-position depth, but the coaching staff must distribute opportunities effectively.
Bruins Stats
UCLA averages 44.8 points and 281.5 rushing yards per game. The Bruins’ offensive line has created space consistently, allowing Chesney to establish the ground attack without relying on trick plays or unnecessary risks.
Wayne Knight has rushed for 445 yards and nine TD’s. Anthony Woods and Jaivian Thomas give UCLA additional backfield options, helping the Bruins keep fresh legs involved.
Semaj Morgan has caught 14 passes for 174 yards and two TD’s. His production provides a useful complement when opponents crowd the line of scrimmage.
UCLA’s rushing depth challenges an Oregon defense that prefers putting opponents in obvious passing situations.
The Bruins have allowed 75 points while collecting nine sacks and eight interceptions. Their defense has forced 12 turnovers, giving UCLA valuable opportunities to change field position and momentum.
Receiver Mikey Matthews is out for the season with a lower-body injury. Defensive back Jamier Johnson has also been dealing with an injury concern.
UCLA needs to establish its blocking assignments against Oregon’s athletic front. The Bruins have handled their early opponents impressively, but Autzen isn’t the place to discover your protection scheme needs a complete renovation.
Bruins vs. Ducks QB Matchup
Oregon will be without Dante Moore, who suffered a concussion against USC. Before the injury, Moore had completed 69 of 99 passes for 926 yards, nine TD’s and no interceptions.
Dylan Raiola is expected to start in his place. The former Nebraska QB has completed 30 of 36 passes for 413 yards and five TD’s in two appearances this season.
Raiola delivered an impressive relief performance against USC, completing 19 of 25 passes for 289 yards and two TD’s. He showed he could operate Oregon’s offense under pressure, but preparing as the starter against a ranked opponent brings different responsibilities.
UCLA counters with Nico Iamaleava, who has thrown for 820 yards, four TD’s and two interceptions. His mobility allows the Bruins to extend plays when protection breaks down.
Iamaleava has benefited from an effective offensive line and a productive backfield. Oregon will try to force him into uncomfortable decisions rather than let him operate with clean pockets all afternoon.

Madden Iamaleava remains UCLA’s backup and has seen limited action.
Raiola’s arm talent gives Oregon confidence despite the change under center. UCLA has greater continuity at QB, with Nico already familiar with the Bruins’ offensive rhythm and personnel.
The Ducks must protect Raiola and avoid putting him behind the chains. UCLA needs Nico to recognize pressure and make sound decisions against a secondary that can punish careless throws.
Both QB’s have capable supporting casts, but their responses to defensive pressure could shape the afternoon.
UCLA Bruins vs. Oregon Ducks bottom line: Oregon’s defensive speed and UCLA’s physical running game set up a demanding matchup, with the Ducks adjusting to a new starting QB.
UCLA Bruins vs. Oregon Ducks Football Betting Trends

- The Ducks have won 24 of their last 25 home games straight up.

Bruins Ducks Free Pick: Over 59.5
Here is my Bruins Ducks free pick: Over 59.5. I don’t need a 45-42 circus to cash this ticket. A 38-24 game gets the job done, and that’s a realistic scoring split when Oregon is laying double digits against a UCLA team capable of contributing more than a couple of consolation FG’s.
The key is avoiding empty possessions. Both teams have the personnel to turn a short field into seven points, and neither defense can afford to spend the afternoon giving away favorable field position. One busted coverage, a short punt or a turnover near midfield can put six points on the board in a hurry. Defensive coordinators tend to frown upon that sort of thing.
I’m betting this game produces enough TD’s to clear 59.5 without needing overtime or a miracle finish.
There’s also a useful second-half angle. If Oregon builds the lead the spread suggests, UCLA will have to increase its offensive urgency rather than spend the fourth quarter protecting the football. That creates opportunities for quick possessions, late scores and the occasional defensive mistake from a team already thinking about the final whistle.
My college football betting system likes this number because there are several ways to reach 60, including a comfortable Oregon win. Give me Over 59.5. I’ll worry about who covers the spread after the scoreboard does its job.
