Knights vs. Cowboys Gameday
The UCF Knights visit No. 18 Oklahoma State at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Kickoff is noon ET on ESPN2 for this Week 6 Big 12 matchup.
UCF enters at 3-2 under Scott Frost, still searching for its first road victory. The Knights have lost 11 consecutive games away from home dating back to last season. Apparently, changing the scenery hasn’t improved the results.
Oklahoma State is 3-1 under Eric Morris and riding a three-game winning streak.
Oklahoma State returns rested and ranked, while UCF faces another difficult road assignment.
The Knights have won both previous meetings, including a 17-14 victory in Orlando last season. UCF also embarrassed Oklahoma State 45-3 in 2023.
This will be UCF’s first trip to Stillwater. The Cowboys have looked considerably different under Morris, and they’ll welcome the opportunity to change the direction of this series.
It’s Week 6, UCF Knights vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys, hopefully we get a great matchup.

UCF Knights vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys Odds & Last 5
Oklahoma State opened as a 9.5-point favorite, with the Cowboys at -370 on the moneyline and UCF at +289.
The Knights lost 27-17 at Houston after building a 17-0 lead. UCF previously defeated TCU 21-13 at home, showing it can compete when its defense controls the tempo.
Oklahoma State defeated West Virginia 41-24 in its latest outing, overcoming an early deficit. The Cowboys also blanked Murray State 59-0 and upset Oregon 39-31 during their winning streak. Not bad for a program that opened with a loss at Tulsa.
The results explain why Oklahoma State is favored by more than a touchdown. UCF has been competitive, but its offense has struggled to maintain momentum against tougher opponents.
The opening spread sits below some more recent numbers. Bettors comparing prices at their preferred sportsbooks should distinguish the original -9.5 from any later movement. Those extra points matter when you’re laying a sizeable favorite.

Cowboys Stats
Oklahoma State has generated 1,308 passing yards and 885 rushing yards through four games. The Cowboys have scored 149 points, giving Morris one of the Big 12’s more productive offenses.
Caleb Hawkins leads the rushing attack with 441 yards and two TD’s. Wyatt Young has added 410 receiving yards and three TD’s, providing an explosive option downfield.
The defense has surrendered 79 points, recording eight sacks and three interceptions. Oklahoma State has been particularly effective defending the pass, although stopping the run remains a concern.
Young and starting guard Johnny Dickson III were questionable on the latest availability report. Offensive tackle Braydon Nelson was probable, while defensive tackle Landon Dean was out.
Morris has the Cowboys playing confidently after their rough opener. They’ll need that same intensity against a UCF defense capable of creating turnovers.
Knights Stats
UCF has scored 162 points through five games, producing 891 passing yards and 863 rushing yards. The Knights have been more effective on the ground, although their overall production has fluctuated considerably.
Duke Watson leads the rushing attack with 404 yards and three TD’s. Josh Derry has contributed 220 receiving yards, giving the Knights a dependable option when they need a completion.
Defensively, UCF has allowed 88 points while recording 11 sacks. The Knights have also collected six interceptions and recovered four fumbles. That’s a respectable amount of disruption for a team still looking for more consistent results.
UCF’s defense can create problems, but its offensive consistency remains a major concern against ranked opponents.
Offensive linemen Jacob Maiava and Owen Spell were ruled out, while linebacker Lewis Carter was also unavailable. Those absences reduce Frost’s options against a physical conference opponent.
Receiver Josh Derry and tight end Dylan Wade were listed as probable. UCF could certainly use a healthier week, although the schedule doesn’t appear interested in cooperating.
The Knights have enough defensive talent to compete, but their offense needs to avoid repeated three-and-outs. Asking the defense to handle every difficult situation eventually becomes a very expensive favor.

Knights vs. Cowboys QB Matchup
Oklahoma State QB Drew Mestemaker has thrown for 1,271 yards, 11 TD’s and five interceptions. He’s completed 95 of 141 attempts, giving the Cowboys an aggressive passing attack with occasional turnover concerns.
Mestemaker threw for 389 yards and three TD’s against West Virginia, his best performance of the season. His ability to attack downfield makes Oklahoma State dangerous when protection holds up.
Broderick Vehrs has contributed 37 passing yards and one TD in limited backup duty.
UCF counters with Keyone Jenkins, who has completed 53 of 76 passes for 541 yards, four TD’s and two interceptions. He has taken over the starting role and is expected to be available Saturday.
Jenkins has shown decent accuracy, but UCF hasn’t consistently generated explosive passing plays. He’ll need to recognize pressure quickly, especially with the Knights dealing with injuries up front.
Alonza Barnett III has thrown for 344 yards, two TD’s and one interception in two appearances. He remains unavailable with a hamstring injury.

Mestemaker offers the more established passing attack, while Jenkins has a tougher protection assignment. Their situations require different approaches from the coaching staffs.
Oklahoma State can challenge UCF vertically, but Mestemaker must avoid careless throws against an opportunistic secondary. Jenkins needs quick completions and manageable down-and-distance situations to prevent the Cowboys from dictating the pressure.
Neither QB can afford to turn a difficult possession into an unnecessary turnover.
UCF Knights vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys bottom line: Oklahoma State’s downfield passing attack faces an opportunistic UCF secondary, while Jenkins must overcome protection concerns against the Cowboys’ defensive front.

Knights Cowboys Free Pick: Cowboys -9.5
Here is my Knights Cowboys free pick: Oklahoma State Cowboys -9.5. I’m laying the points with a rested favorite facing a road opponent that’s having trouble keeping its offensive line healthy. That isn’t my favorite combination if I’m holding a UCF ticket.
The Cowboys have covered four straight at home and seven of their last eight overall. More importantly, the bye gave Eric Morris extra time to attack a Knights offense that has struggled to finish drives against stronger competition.
I’m betting Oklahoma State turns its preparation advantage into a double-digit lead before the fourth quarter.
UCF is 4-1 ATS this season, so I’m not expecting a free square. But if the Cowboys control field position and avoid gifting possessions, they should have enough opportunities to separate.
I’ll lay the opening number. I’m on OSU -9.5.
