The powerful Tulsa offense goes on the road to Navy for a crucial conference game between two teams fighting at the top of the AAC East division.
With both teams sitting at 4-1 in the AAC and Houston’s disappointing fall, a shot at the conference championship could come down to the winner of this game.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Dane Evans has led the way for Tulsa as they have developed the 11th ranked scoring offense in the FBS.
At 42.4 points per game, Evans and his talented group of backs and receivers have been able to cover for what has been a lackluster Tulsa defense.
They have improved some from last season but are still allowing 31 points per game.
They have been particularly vulnerable against the run which isn’t great heading into their matchup with Navy and their run dominated offense.
Evans is going to have to be on his best in this road game to lead long drives and give the defense rest.
Navy will likely wear the Golden Hurricane defense down over the course of the game so Tulsa has to be aiming to have a comfortable lead as the game moves toward the fourth quarter.
The matchup struggle for Tulsa was evident last season as Navy rushed for 469 yards and 5 touchdowns in their late season matchup.
However, in that game Evans was 32 for 37 with 278 passing yards but two Tulsa fumbles and only 2.3 yards per carry on the ground proved to be costly.
There expected to be some dropoff after all-time NCAA great Keenan Reynolds left Navy but is hasn’t necessarily been the case.
At 7-2 and 4-1 in the AAC, Navy will look to capitalize on this home game with two road conference games remaining on their schedule.
The winner very well could determine who is represented in the AAC Championship game and the Navy defense will need to bring their A game.
The offense shouldn’t have too many problems establishing the tempo and piling up rushing yards against Tulsa’s porous defense.
However, slowing down Evans and the Tulsa offense will be the only way they can pick up this win.
Their recent struggles against the pass and last year’s struggle against Evans don’t look promising for Navy entering this game.
When it is all said and done, Tulsa is going to get their points. It simply will be a matter of if Navy can create some turnovers and capitalizes on all of their red zone opportunities.

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Prediction
This Navy defense has been good but not great so I expect Evans and Tulsa offense to put up a bunch of points. Also, Tulsa’s defense has struggled against the run and that won’t go well against the Navy offense.
I like the Midshipmen to run all over Tulsa and Evans to make a few extra plays in the shootout.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Game Total Over 69.0
I think Evans will make enough plays to win the game but the great play here is the over.
