This week eleven matchup will see the Texas Tech Red Raiders take on the West Virginia Mountaineers. This is a Big 12 matchup, but a middle tier one at best.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Both teams are trying to get that all-important sixth win, but still have a tough road ahead of them.
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Starting with Texas Tech, they are coming off a bye week, but in their last game, they lost to Kansas. How do you lose to Kansas, the worst team in the entire Big 12 conference? The final score to this game was 37-34, and I do not know if the bye week is going to actually help anything.
There is also the fact that the Red Raiders have now lost three games in a row. They have to win three of their last four games to even make a bowl and they still have TCU, Kansas State and Texas, so good luck with that.
Taking a look at this offense, they really are not that bad. I mean they have the 16th best passing attack in the country, averaging 303.6 yards per game. Their rushing game also ranks in the top half of college football at 57th.
They are also scoring an average of 30.8 points per game, so they can still score. Given all that, you have to wonder why they are such a bad team.

Well for starters, their defense is just not good. Giving up 37 points to Kansas is an example of how to lose a football game.
They are 120th in pass defense this year, allowing 284.6 yards per game through the air. It really does not matter who they play, just expect them to give up way too many points.
West Virginia Mountaineers
The Mountaineers are coming in off their fourth straight loss. They put up a real fight against the Baylor Bears, but lost 17-14. They also need to win three of their last four, making this game a must win.
West Virginia just does not have the offense we are used to seeing. They score an average of 21.6 points per game. Against Big 12 opponents, this number decreases to 20.4 points per game.
Passing offense has been their “strength” as they average 223.4 yards per game. This is not really a strength, but it is the best this team can offer.
Defensively, they are just as bad, allowing 31.5 points per game. They have played five conference games this season and in those games, they are allowing 34.6 points per game.
They do not really have one area that they are excellent in, but also there is nothing too abstract.

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Pick
Both teams are terrible, but at the very least the Red Raiders have a passing attack and I think they will win this game because of it.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: OVER 59.5
This is the Big 12 which is generally known for a lack of defense. Texas Tech is scoring at a high rate, but they also are allowing way too many points. I like this game to be a good ole shootout and I will take the over as my pick.
