There is not much buzz for the Red River Rivalry game this season. Not sure what the advantage is of playing it off campus.
Both teams are off losses and the Sooner off two. They are desperate to turn things around this week.
Neither of these teams is in great form but I think we should at least get an entertaining game. Neither has been boring.
Texas Longhorns
Texas lost to TCU last week. It was not totally unexpected given the problems that the Longhorns have had with TCU since they joined the Big 12.
Helped by an overtime game and a date with UTEP the Longhorns are actually the highest-scoring team in the college football this season.
Sam Ehlinger is putting up some stats but he is not having some sort of amazing senior season. The Longhorns cannot afford another loss if they want to have anything to play for late in the year.
The defense has been OK but they are not revolutionizing anything on defense. They had a bunch of penalties against TCU that didn’t help either.
Whenever these teams meet it is always interesting though this one might not be so meaningful.
Oklahoma Sooners
It has been a long time since the Sooners have lost back to back games, especially since they did so within the conference.
On the positive side of things, they are moving the ball. Spencer Rattler is leading the second-best passing offense in the nation, 390ypg.
On the negative side, Rattler has thrown four interceptions, and with the defense, the Sooners have that is just not going to get it done. They are not going to pick him up when he needs it.
The Sooners have given up at least 30 points in the back-to-back losses. Their numbers for the season are helped by a shutout of an FCS opponent to start the season.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
This one is a very tricky handicap, how much are we supposed to rely on preseason expectations vs. what we have seen on the field so far?
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Oklahoma -1.5
One thing we have seen is that Oklahoma can move the ball and score points, both teams can. I do think Oklahoma can clean things up more and get the win.
A win would get the cover we are seeking too. It might come down to the final possession. Take a look at some first half numbers too. Oklahoma has been better early in games this season.
