Temple is the only team with a mathematical chance to catch Cincinnati in the AAC East. That doesn’t make it likely though.
The Bearcats are looking to extend their perfect start in AAC play. This win locks up the division.
These are two tough-minded teams so look for a hard-fought game in this one.
Temple Owls
Temple has an interesting resume this season. They are the only team to beat Memphis but in their three losses they just haven’t been close, all by at least 16 points.

In those games both the offense and defense struggled, they never scored more than 21 points and never allowed less than 38.
This team is comfortable playing an opportunistic style of football. They are not going to take a lot of chances but are ready to pounce on your mistakes.
Anthony Russo is in his second year directing the Temple offense. He was very sharp when they beat Memphis at home and he will need to be again for them to have a shot here.

Temple is very capable of putting a wrench in Cincy’s plans or at the very least keeping it close.
Cincinnati Bearcats
The Bearcats have two tough games to close the season. This one at home to Temple and then a visit to Memphis which could be a preview of the title game.
With those coming up it is not surprising that they were a little less sharp last week in dispatching South Florida.
Cincinnati is no offensive juggernaut, in fact they are one of the few teams that runs the ball more than it passes, that is not an option team.
They are good at sustaining drives, scoring 31ppg which juxtaposed to a defense that only gives up 20ppg gives them a great chance to win easily.
The Memphis game next week is a really big one. They can actually afford to lose this one if they get that one, however, I expect a good effort here.
