TCU Horned Frogs
TCU had a bye week last week, but crushed Arkansas-Pine Bluff in week one by a score of 39-7.
This was a game that was never in doubt, but it does not really tell us much about this TCU team.
The offense performed well in their first game, totaling 484 yards of offense. This is 36th in the country. I will say they only gained 284 through the air against a poor team, so this could be a question mark once they start playing decent opponents. Luckily, the Boilermakers’ pass defense is one of the worst units in the entire country, so TCU should have a ton of success in this area.
The top performer on the offensive side of the ball in week one was wide receiver, TreVontae Hights. He had 8 catches for 108 yards. Purdue is not a great team, but TCU needs a play-maker like this if they are going to move to 2-0.
The Horned Frogs allowed just 215 total yards in their opener, but they played a cupcake school. At the very least, their pass defense looked very good and therefore has them ranked 9th in the country. This will be a much tougher test, even though it is just Purdue. If they can take away the passing game, they will have a great chance to win this game on the road.
Purdue bounced back from a loss to Nevada in week one by crushing Vanderbilt in week two. They controlled this game pretty much the entire time and won 42-24.
Success for the Boilermakers starts with their passing offense. So far through two games, they have averaged 466 yards through the air. This is ranked 3rd in the country and is pretty much their entire offense.
Quarterback, Elijah Sindelar has already thrown for 932 yards, has thrown for 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He is dealing with a concussion, but will likely be ready for this game against TCU.
Defensively, the Boilermakers have not looked good at all. They were torched by Nevada and still allowed 491 total yards to Vanderbilt in a win.
Purdue does have a top 30 run defense, so they should be able to stop the run, but stopping the pass will be a completely different story.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Pick
TCU has only played one game and I think that will leave them well rested for this non-conference game. I would lean to the Horned Frogs to get the win, but this game could probably go either way.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: OVER 51.5
Purdue’s defense has given up at least 24 points in their first two games. TCU has not been tested, but I think their offense will be able to pick apart this Purdue secondary. I think Purdue will also be able to put up enough points with their passing offense to push the total over.
