The Stanford Cardinal have been getting things together as they’ve won three in a row now.
The Cal Golden Bears are 4-6 and are fighting for their bowl lives and they’ll have to beat their rival in order to get their bowl chances alive.
After a mid-year slump where the Stanford Cardinal lost three of four games; the Cardinal have now won three in a row.
Not only have they won three in a row, but they’ve won their three games in impressive fashion and two of those on the road.
Stanford’s offense has finally gotten things together as they’ve scored 34, 26, and 52 in their last three games.
It’s been a struggle all season long for the Cardinal as they just haven’t been able to getting thing clicking as they scored 26, 27, 22, 6, 16, 15, and 5 points in their previous seven games.
Stanford is getting hotter on the offensive end and their defense has been rock solid.
It’s another road game and their defense will be challenged against the Golden Bears, but their offense should continue their success once again this week.
Cal Golden Bears
The Cal Golden Bears need to win their last two games to become bowl eligible. It’s going to be tough as they will have to defeat Stanford and UCLA, but they do get these games at home.
Cal has found success at home as they are 3-1 this season at Berkley which includes an upset win over the Utah Utes.
Offensively, the Cal Golden Bears have been one of the best in the nation. However, there is a bit of a note you have to include.
Cal was dominate on the offensive in their first six games. Only one team was able to hold Cal to less than 40 points and that was the previously mentioned Utes. They held Cal to 28 points.
All that is great, however, since Cal’s schedule has stiffened up, their offense has come down.
Cal was held to 24 points against the USC Trojans, 27 points against the Washington Huskies, and 21 point last week against the Washington State Cougars.
They’ll be going up against another stiff defense and they might be offensively challenged once again this week. As their offense has struggled of late, their defense has remained a massive weak point.
Cal’s defense has allowed 45.6 points per game and in their last three games they’ve given up 50 points per game.

Free Week 12 NCAA Football Prediction
I’ve got Stanford winning this game and covering the spread. It’s a bit of a small than expected line, but not too big of a shock.
You have to remember these two are rivals and the Golden Bears are going to give it their all. Plus, they are still fighting for a possible bowl spot.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Stanford -11 & OVER
Overall, though, I trust Stanford in this spot. It may be close for the majority of the game, but I see the Cardinal pulling away and covering the spread in this one.
