That front has also held opponents to 447 rushing yards through four games. Getting Southern Miss behind schedule would allow the Trojans to turn up the pressure on a QB making only his second start of the season.

Southern Miss has scored 98 points, but the distribution deserves some context.
Forty-nine came against Alcorn State in the opener. The Golden Eagles scored 49 combined across their next three games, although the offense looked considerably better in New Orleans.
Steven Robinson remains the engine of the running game.

Troy should get opportunities at home, especially if its defense can put Lyddy in a few uncomfortable spots. Short fields, busted coverages, turnovers, whatever. I’m not asking where the points came from when I cash the ticket.
Give me 51 points any way these two can manufacture them. Style points don’t pay extra.
The Golden Eagles are 5-2 to the Over in their last seven following a loss. Troy has won four straight when playing with a total of 50 or higher, so I’m comfortable betting on a game where the Trojans are forced to keep their foot down rather than nurse a lead.
That’s the game script I want.
If Southern Miss gets into the low 20’s, Troy doesn’t have to turn into an offensive circus for us to get there. A 31-21 final works. So does 28-24.
I’ll take 27-24 and never complain about it again.
