In this game the South Carolina Gamecocks make the trip to Neyland Stadium to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The Gamecocks have won the last three games played between the two teams.

The South Carolina Gamecocks have had an up and down season and at this point that just seems to be what their season is going to be.

Earlier in the season, they were big favorites over UNC and lost by four points. Two weeks ago they were big underdogs on the road against Georgia and they found a way to come away with a three-point victory.

This is a team that has a really good running game but everything else has been inconsistent and that needs to change the last games of the season.

On the defensive side the Gamecocks are giving up 25.3 points per game and it’s going to be key the defense is strong against a Volunteers offense that has been inconsistent.

On the other side of this matchup is the Tennessee Volunteers who are not a good team and it might be a while before they are rebuilt enough to compete in the SEC.

One of the big questions that has been surronding this team is who exactly will be the starting quarterback. It appears the Volunteers are turning to J.T. Shrout to start who has completed only 30 percent of his passes for 23 yards and zero touchdowns.

The offense has held them back all season and it’s going to be key that the offense finds a way to get out to a fast start.

IF the quarterback is lacking in this game, they are going to have zero chance to come away with a victory. Unless Shrout gets hurt I wouldn’t expect the team to make a change, even if he struggles early in the game.
