It was classic Pitt losing to NC State last week. They were at home but at least they did not disappoint a full stadium.
Boston College also had to be disappointed that they could not complete the upset against North Carolina.
Now both teams have to figure out how to get off the mat. This one will be physical for sure.
It is hard to know where to start with the loss at home against NC State other than to say anytime you see Pitt as a favourite beware.
For starters, the defense gave up 30 points to the Wolfpack. That is the same number they had yielded over three games prior. Their defense is supposed to be real but they gave up almost 400 yards.
When they had the ball the Panthers had no trouble, posting more than 500 yards. QB Kenny Pickett had one of his best games ever with more than 400 yards through the air.
They only lost by a point but that is a game they are supposed to get. Yielding the final score in the final minute stings too.
If this team hs turned the corner they should bounce back but Boston College is not going to make it easy for them. .
Boston College Eagles
The Eagles were close last week and have to be encouraged by how the team has looked under new coach Jeff Hafley. A win in this spot would say a lot about where they are.
Phil Jurkovec transferred in from Notre Dame and it looks like they can build around him over the next few seasons. He is a big guy who can hang in the pocket but he has some wiggle too.
Hafley is a defense guy but the offense has shown more passing than in the past. They are actually 20th in the nation in that category and probably haven’t been that high since the days of Matt Ryan.
The defense has not fallen off though. They are giving up just 17ppg and the odds are this one is a bit of a slugfest.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
Pitt is an interesting team right now because last week’s results have taken some of the shine off their defense which is the strength of the team.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Boston College +6.5
This is definitely one of those games where I wish the fans were in the stands. It would have made for such a pleasant scene for the upset.
I think this game comes down to the final possession. Jurkovec starts to build his legend by getting the result. So the points are just a gift.
