Oregon has a chance. They need to win this one not only to keep it alive but also to set up a date with Utah that could enhance their CFP profile.
The Ducks have had some close calls recently as their defense has shown to not be as stingy as earlier.

USC is going to test that group by throwing and then throwing some more. It is what they do best.
Oregon Ducks
The Ducks are on a 7 game winning streak. They were dominating teams to start but the last two have come by a combined six points with their defense getting exposed.
Thankfully the offense has been able to cover for it. They have scored at least 35 points in their last three contests.
Justin Herbert is always a bit of a lightning rod. I think he kind of makes it looks easy and that invites scrutiny. What doesn’t is the fact that he has thrown just one interception all season long, ratio of 21/1.
CJ Verdell tore apart Washington State last week with 257 yards rushing. He should be able to have success against the USC defense too.

Oregon is 48th in the nation against the pass defensively. Whether that number is higher or lower heading into next week will likely have contributed to the outcome here.
USC Trojans
USC has won two in a row but they are walking wounded right now, especially on defense. They really don’t have much of a choice other than to put the ball in Kedon Slovis’ hands and see if he can throw them to victory.
Slovis is just a freshman but he set career highs with over 400 yards and 4 TDs last week. His receivers are monsters to cover.
Michael Pittman Jr is the most productive of the group but if you defenses show him too much attention Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra St. Brown will beat you.
USC has to be able to get some stops though. They are missing some key guys on the defensive line so getting off the field is going to be a challenge. The offense can keep them in it though.
