The Oklahoma State Cowboys will be looking to go 3-0 this Saturday when they make the trip to Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Cowboys were more than impressive last week with a 56-14 win over the McNeese Cowboys.
They’ll aim to have the same success throwing the ball again this Saturday.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will look to improve to 2-1 on the season following a 34-16 win against San Jose State. If they can be as productive running the ball this week as they were last, they’ll have a better chance at pulling off the upset.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Cowboys are now a perfect 2-0 on the 2019 season following a 56-14 beatdown of McNeese.

Oklahoma State managed to pick up 25 first downs in the game, moving the chains 11 of 16 times on third down. They collected a total of 580 yards in the contest, 413 of which came through the air.
When the Cowboys did run the ball, they were able to average 3.8 yards per carry. They will need to do just as good this week to get the win in Tulsa.
Quarterback Spencer Sanders completed 12 of his 18 passing attempts for 250 yards and three scores. He also led the team in rushing, picking up 51 yards on 12 carries. Wide receiver Tylan Wallace was his primary weapon in the passing game, hauling in five receptions with 180 yards and three touchdowns.

Against McNeese, Oklahoma State’s defense gave up 318 total yards. They allowed McNeese to complete 12 of their 25 passing attempts for 157 yards. Against the run, the Cowboys gave up 161 rushing yards.
Safety Malcolm Rodriguez led the squad with 11 tackles while both A.J. Green and Philip Redwine-Bryant had interceptions.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
After being beat up by Michigan State in the season opener, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane were able to bounce back last week with a 34-16 win against San Jose State.
The Golden Hurricane went into the locker room at the break up just 17-10, but after a pep talk and some Gatorade, Tusla was able to tighten up on both sides of the ball.
They picked up an impressive 27 first downs in the game, converting on 9 of 16 on third down. They raked in a total of 539 total yards, running the ball for 4.7 yards per carry.
Quarterback Zach Smith connected on 21 of his 28 attempts, tossing the ball for 283 yards and a touchdown. While running back Shamari Brooks led Tulsa with 140 rushing yards and a score on 29 carries, T.K. Wilkenson was just as impressive, running the ball for 92 yards and two scores on 15 attempts. In case math isn’t exactly your cup of tea, that’s 6.1 yards per rush.
While averaging 218 passing yards and 91.5 rushing per game aren’t exactly the best numbers, you have to remember Tulsa played at Michigan State to open the season.

That being said, the game against Oklahoma State this weekend will probably be more along those lines than say a San Jose State team.
If the Golden Hurricane wants to win this week, or at least cover the spread, they will have to be productive running the ball against the Cowboy’s defense.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Pick
I don’t think they can do it. Oklahoma State has some grown men playing on defense. I don’t see Tulsa being able to dominate them like they did the Trojans.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: OSU -14
Personally, I’m not going to mess with the total in this game. While Oklahoma State is much better than Tulsa’s last opponent, they haven’t proven themselves this season to be a powerhouse week after week.
Yes, they’re averaging 54 points per game, but I see that having a sudden drop here real soon. I do see them covering the 14 points, though.
