Notre Dame has to avoid a letdown after beating Clemson last week.
Boston College seems more than campable of roughing them up if they are not focused.
Plus there is the added story line of BC QB Phil Jurkovec. This one could be fun.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Trevor Lawrence or no, the Fighting Irish beat Clemson last week in overtime. You can pick at it if you want but it happened.
Key to the win was being able to move the effectively against one of the best defenses in the country. The offense looked better than it has all season.
Ian Book might has had his best games against the best defenses he has faced this season, Clemson and Pitt. Maybe he is more of a player than he is given credit for. Running back Kyren Williams also had a monster day with 140 yards and three TDs.
The Notre Dame defense has been really good this season but was a little exposed by Clemson. This will be a test to see if that is a harbinger of things to come to not.
The Irish know what they have to do to get into the playoffs this season. They don’t have to dominate here but they have to win.
Boston College
It is hard to know what to make of this BC team. They almost beat Clemson a couple of weeks ago but then barely got by Syracuse the week after.
They are back home after a back to back road games though and that has to be a good thing.
Phil Jurkovec has given them steadying play at QB and an attitude. He is so tough in the pocket, which has to be part of the reason that Notre Dame recruited him. They just couldn’t stop him from transferring.
The BC defense has not been as staunch as they have been in the past. They are usually in the good to very good category but this season they are only above average.
